Did you explain that while medicated his ADHD is under control, however due to his seizures he needs help with... due to his genetic condition he needs help with...

The advice I was given is to name what he needs help with and explain which condition causes those care needs.

If he has tantrums unrelated to ADHD, such as frustration due to being unable to (whatever), clearly say that it is an issue seperate from ADHD.

Did anyone help you fill in the forms?

Some people on here are too sensitive. Perhaps it didn't come across the way I wanted it to, I asked a question. It was answered. I've learnt stuff I didn't know before, surely that is a good thing?
When your life is a mess, stop and think what you are doing before bringing more kids into it, it's not fair on them.

still not heard anything from them. i did put that due to this that and the other he cant do this.

we do have issues with behaviour when not medicated but when medicated he does mostly well so school only see that side of him so when asked will quite rightly say that.

i was just frustrated that it is being dragged out because adhd was on his form when his sisters was sorted really fast.
ill get over it and ill let you know what they say.

i am dreading my sons renewal sent it off fri. i sent loads of reports off and i am dreading they contact the school my son behaves at school because it is routine and structure and he is very quiet because of speech and language delays. He seems to hold it in at school and explodes before and after school so i know if they write to the school we have no chance, i spoke to the school to ask them to support because they help my son with medcation, toilet needs and encouragement/support to eat and speech therapy and they wont do it!!! but im going to speak to the head about it. good luck
  • from what mines teacher has said the form asks them if they are a dnager to themself. can they cross a road?, be left alone type thing.

i did ask them to specifically say that he had a feeding tube as it caused trouble last time.

the teacher filling the form in forgot to say that he has medication and supplements through it as she doesnt do it the teaching assistant does. just tell them what the form is for and what you have put and then you cant do anything else.

explain that you have told them his care needs and that it would be helpful for them to say about his medication and speech problems.

good luck, im afraid though for behaviour problems they do often speak to school. they always have for my son.
