I had a similar problem - I signed off a week before my WP appointment so didn't bother turning up to my WP advisor meeting, she then rang me to ask where I was, and I said I had signed off. She said oh, OK. Then she rang me about a month after this to inform me of my next appointment, and I said we already spoke and I had signed off.
So you can either go in to be polite and just say when the meeting starts "I have signed off" and then they'll want to know why to see if they can collect cash for you getting a job (!!!) or else just not turn up as they can't do anything. The only slight issue is if they sanctioned you from that day so you'd lose one day JSA, but for me they said if I didn't turn up for the next month's meeting I would be sanctioned (this came in an email before the phone call when I didn't turn up).
So I think it's really up to you how you feel about it.0 -
what a waste of time that appointment was, the woman didn't turn up till after half 2, sat there till at least 3 50 to be seen, a 10 min appointment to tell me to keep in touch every fortnight, until they get information from the job centre that i no longer get jsa0
