I was delighted but then found out it was OOS in Leeds and all surrounding areas - rubbish Argos!!!!!
They actually emailed me to say they were back in stock, I tried to reorder only to be told they had no stock anywhere.0 -

No, it doesn't.
The Clip+ is discontinued anyway.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

Well i'm looking for a new mp3 player as mine is now dead after 2years, nothing fancy, just a 4gb i paid under £20 for, whilst i like the idea of a ipod nano i dont like the idea of owning a apple product, as for the CLIP+ being discontinued, i think you'll find thats the CLIP thats discontinued as the clip+ has replaced it. I dont want one of them either, due to the problems on their forum about connecting to a pc and the 5 workaround at trying to get the computer to see it.
And at £49 for 8gb, seems a bit steep considering the cost of flashmemory at the moment. 16gb for £8.98 at novatech, adding in the cost of a battery compartment and a little PCB + lcd screen, still cant see why these would be more than a little over £20
what i'm looking for is a mp3 player with a standard USB connection, with a higher storage than my 4gb non working mp3 player, preferably not through ebay and under £20.0 -
Well done to those that managed to get one. I got an empty reservation email.....
Anyway, price now showing as £114.99 !!0 -

The Clip+ has been discontinued and the Clip Zip has replaced it...similar players and not much of an upgrade although the Zip has a small colour screen.
If you don't wand to spend much then I'd advise getting a Sansa - otherwise the Nano really was a steal at £50. Worth it just for its Nike+ functions and pausable radio, I'd say.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

found a mp3 player, waiting from supplier to tell me how long the battery should last before i buy.
http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=112118 the mp3 player.
then i have a choice of which memory card to put in
http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/prod...ucts_id=112647 16gb microsdhc to be used in
http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/prod...ucts_id=106392 both 16gb
of course looking through ebay, i found a 8gb mp3player for £17
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300577548571?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649
uses a single AAA battery should last around 8-9hrs on a 900mAh uniross rechargable, similar to the 1gb mp3 player i had about 5 years ago. benefit is no usb lead required.0 -

Anyway, if there's someone in the Darlington area who hasn't managed to get one and wants to give this a try PM me and I'll give you the code.
Think I've just answered my own question - just checked Argos T&C and looks like for reserved items you pay the price the item is in store on the day you collect. Not fair for anyone who did manage to get a valid reservation
go with your reservation code, take it to CS tell them u reserved it at £49.99 and they should honour it, they did mine about half an hour ago :T0
