Be notified on new TV series

Does anyone know of a website that notifies you when an up coming series of your favourite TV is due. I am fed up of scrolling through the channels only to find that we are on episode 3 of a series I wanted to watch.

Have a look at DigiGuide. It's an annual subscription service but one that I think is worth it (been using it for a few years now). It gives listings for 7 days in advance but also has a 'Reminder' feature. I haven't used this for the purpose you require but it looks to have options to set reminders of when programs start within the 7 day period. The listings are updated on a rolling basis rather than just once a week, so it's always 7 days-worth of programmes from the most recent update that are listed. There is a free trial. If you decide to try it, right-click on programmes for more options.

Edit: Sorry I should say that it isn't the online service that I have. It's the downloadable program. It has a different link. I hadn't realised that to start with. Have a look at the one below. It also mentions programmes being listed 14 days in advance:

Buy the Radio Times each week.

Before the RT start date (Saturday), read through it and ring everything that you want to watch with a red marker pen.

Keep RT by your viewing chair.

No I can't do that it isn't Christmas!
  • I've only used these for listings but if you sign up (free) it might be what you are looking for.
