Could anyone help me understand these words (Mini SD; Micro SD/Transflash; SD Card; Flash Card) please?

I want to buy a Mini SD (?Micro SD/ Transflash card) for my Nokia 6290. I am fully puzzled when trying to understand these technical words.

you don't need to understand any of the terms. All you need to know is that the Nokia 6290 uses a micro sd memory card and that is what you need to buy. All of the others are memory cards in different formats for other devices.

Is it Micro SD or Mini SD for Nokia 6280? I think two are different.

The Nokia 6280 takes a mini sd card according to the nokia website.
The 6290 takes a micro sd according to the same site. These cards are not the same.

They are certainly different don't make the mistake of buying the wrong one as I did, I needed a Micro SD for my Samsung e900, but mistakenly bought a mini SD now I have two cards and can only use one.
Also the adapters you get with the cards are for use with cards readers, so you can't put a Mini SD into the adapter and use it that way.
