  • Thanks so much for all replies - already have photographic evidence the car looks an exact replica.Haringey police apparently know this car it is commiting other crime in the borough its on the police national computer, which probably means i will be stopped and questioned at some point,3 of the parking fines are in the same road at the same time of day (have informed haringey police of this) yet it depends wether they have a unit in the area at the time.Contacted
dvla they say i have to have more than 4 parking fines before they will consider changing my reg.In the words of littlejohn YOU COULDNT MAKE IT UP.

It's just that it isn't you, it appears to be your son who has posted using the wrong identity.........

We do, from time to time, get disinformation postings which are actually from parking firms trying to undermine us- they will, typically, make up court cases to try and frighten our "clients".

Therefore, I am afraid we are suspicious of any apparent discrepancies, as I am sure you will understand. I was concerned that "docjones" never responded to messages I sent offering to help; that may have been because he was uncertain of my identity, but equally could have been because he did not want to be put in the position of having to give details of the "claim"....

Sorry if that is all wrong but we have to be careful!

Always be cautious of new posters such as NMCAlan ( no offence intended) offering assistance offboard - they have yet to establish their bona fides.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

Seconded. Brand new poster offering help. If a stranger overheard you in the pub and offered to help with your problem, would you necessarily trust them? Be wary. If NMCAlan had a few hundred posts with lots of "thany you"s, that would be a different matter.

Not saying he ISN'T genuine, just be wary, that's all. And do not answer any questions or give any information on the docjones case!

I would contact the police and ask them to place a PNC marker on the car and inform them that the real owner will be carrying 2 forms of ID in the name of the registered keeper.
You may get pulled over, but so will the cloned car.
Plus in London they have PNC cameras on 24/7

Once apprehended they will remove the marker.

Looking at teenyweeny's post of this morning, it's already got a marker on it.

Yes but a reference can be added about carrying 2 forms of ID, that way, there is no hope of talking out of it and the OP can.

I kinda think the coppers are going to look pretty closely at the driver's ID when they catch up with the car anyway....

How long ago was the last PCN, because the crooks must realise the car will be hot and it will probably have a different number on by now....
