I just looked at the regular Dell page, not the Dell UK page, and they have this comp going too. They also have the answers on there... and the second day's answer was in Australia, what I was being told. My map, despite accessing it from Dell UK, is the American/International one! So all my entries haven't counted! And they won't reply to me so I don't stand a chance :(
  • vanpopple is right regarding a tie. From T&C's point 5

"Organizer and/or Administrator will determine which entrant has chosen the location closest to the hidden XPS13 and therefore which entrant is the potential winner. In the event of a tie as regards who is closest to the hidden XPS13, Organizer and/or Administrator will select the entrant who was first to have chosen the location."

    Cheers pompey.

I beieve the new game is playing now, although theres no clue today?

    Good Luck everyone x

@pechow - I know why you are getting the results that youre getting,
the different 'dell' sites have their own comp - USA has different clues and locations, as does 'dell' australia.
Im guessing you have accidently bookmarked the aus dell.
Type into fb 'dell uk' (as you start typing you WILL see -dell uk <---GOTO THAT ONE..
There ya go mate problem solved.
(P.s if you go to dell usa they have posted image with EXACT clue locations for their comp)
and its interesting contrary to what most of us thought, they ARE placing the laptop in 'random' places (ie - 1 was just on a beach, 1 was stuck on the side of a rock, )but basically it can be placed anywhere at all.

Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:

I found Dell's answers to the first 4 comps at the bottom of one of their facebook pages: https://www.facebook.com/DellHomeUK?sk=app_386203664724789&ref=ts

Round 1 - Filicudi Cave, Sicily
Round 2 - The Acropolis, Athens
Round 3 - Wikiki Beach, Oahu, Hawaii
Round 4 - Alcatraz Island, San Fransisco

** Help needed** But I can't work out how to copy the image here - I can "print screen" ok, and paste the image into e.g. Word, but I can't paste here. Can anyone tell me how to do that? Is there a useful "how to.." thread you can point me to, plz?

No, I haven't. It's definitely Dell Home UK, always has been, I didn't ever bookmark it and always selected UK. I use the UK page and have been apparently getting the US map. So no chance of having a chance at winning. :(

click this link https://apps.facebook.com/xpsmarksthespot/?page=true&name=undefined&country=undefined and down the bottom right hand corner it tells you which version of the game you're using

It doesn't seem to be determined by which Facebook page you access it through, I tried going through Dell's USA page and still got the UK map. This suggests that it's being determined either by information from Facebook or maybe your IP address? If your Facebook information is correct, Is it possible your IP address isn't in the UK? (you can check here)

I hope that helps a bit

right, where's the next clue already!? :rotfl:

I think it's somewhere in South Africa. I dropped a flag on table mountain and it said I was in the right area try looking north so I tried Cape Town with my last flag
I woke up last night to find the ghost of Gloria Gaynor standing at the foot of my bed.
    At first I was afraid.......then I was petrified.…

  • Thanks ianmurf for your clue. Does anyone know if Dell put up any clues for the new round? Can't see any on their facebook page. Only a few hours left for round 5!

thanks ianmurf for your help, much appreciated. Well done for managing to get so close, doubt I would have got anywhere near!

It's somewhere on Signal Hill - I placed my marker right at the end of the bend in the road where the car park is according to the satellite view on Google, and got you're almost touching, try north east. Placed my remaining 2 markers NE and got the same message.
