That's right Argos sell on Ebay but they only sell returns and Ex catalogue junk that they dare not sell in their shops.

So why don't Argos, Tesco HP etc sell current lines on Ebay? because Ebay is their dumping ground. That's what Ebay is, it's the big online car boot for everyones faulty tired and unwanted junk.

I think many of us are not using the same ebay as you then. Luckily for me I buy a lot of good things and sell even more with no real issues at all.

Ebay isn't for everyone so if it doesn't suit you, then stick with your website.

So are you admitting you're selling junk? Maybe that's why you've had so many cases of "missing" parcels....

Yup - I think the attitude expressed says it all about their problems on eBay and why they get so few people raising an issue on their website.

It also worries me about their terms and conditions, plus what is listed on their website that is putting people off claiming, because eBay is not exempt from any SOGA issues (like the OP's, even with a private seller items have to be as described), not to mention DSRs and Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations. Some people like to believe it is a shangri-la exempt from every normal rule of commercial enterprise, but it isn't.

Although it's true that the outlet sellers may sell returns etc., those items are still covered by all the necessary legislation, which does not mean they can misdescribe or mis-sell to their heart's content.

You're just coming across as another disgruntled ebay user throwing their toys out of the pram!! Move along please - leave it to the grown ups! ;)

You've obviously had a bad experience which is making you see bad things everywhere. If you post your issue up here I'm sure someone will be able to offer some suggestions.

I think it was probably all those people trip trapping over his bridge to be honest.

    ;)
