Insurance - Points on licence

I have looked at my own insurance policy and it says to inform them if anything changes. I will tell my insurers - it's not the cost to me that's a hassle - it's the frustration with having points on an otherwise unblemished licence. And it was some idiots fault who was tailgating me (about 3 metres behind me) in the pouring rain - was terrified about putting the brakes on in case he slammed into the back of me - i'm furious to be honest.
How on earth is it someone elses fault that YOU got flashed for speeding? Surely its your own fault, you control the accelerator pedal, no-one else. If someone tailgates me I just slow right down or jam my brakes on, they soon learn they can go round me or drop back. Can't see how it's their fault you were speeding though

As I already said - if I'd jammed my brakes on he'd most likely gone right into the back of me. Had already tried slowing down but he just got even closer and started flashing his lights. Tried just lightly pressing my brake so lights came on without slowing down and he didn't back off. Wish now that I'd taken his plate number and reported him for dangerous driving.0 -

Very simple: put your left indicator on and park up?
PS On a lighter note, the fact you got flashed doesn't definitely mean you will get a speeding fine. The camera may not have been 'armed' with film, some aren't.0
