As a maker of jewellery, I use a lot of different mediums, including Swarovski crystal and genuine gemstones.

I often get asked if I make anything with 'Pandora' style beads, which I absolutly refuse to do, as bunging a few charms on a chain is not what I do, plus I don't trust the cheaper type of beads to be nickel free in the grommet or even annealed glass.

Also, at the moment everyone is making Shamballa style bracelets, hmm, i was making macrame bracelets ages ago, and have stopped for now, as I like to make things that are different, hence all my stuff is one-off style jewellery (logic being it should make it easier to sell!)

I love my Pandora bracelet. I've had it for years, every charm has a memory for me. I have the silver bracelet, don't like the leather ones. Apart from that i have a Tiffany bracelet, a white gold and diamond band and a ring my mum bought me for my 21st when we were in S Africa which i wear every day. I treated myself to a Rolex when my husband left me and my divorce was nearly through ! Cos i'm worth it !

I don't understand the faddy jewellery though, i'd rather buy good stuff but less of it. Can't see the appeal of Shamballa bracelets.

I just had to google shamballa bracelets as i have never heard of them. :o

My mum loves the troll beads and asked for one for christmas, so i obliged. I think they are pricey especially given how tiny they actually are

As for me i am not one of jewellery really, i dont wear rings because i have a tendency to "faff" with them and end up losing. All i wear are small silver hoop earrings and a watch during the day and evenings i will wear a necklace but thats about it.

I love jewellery and have a mixture of sparkly and cheapish and some very nice pieces that my hubby has bought me :) I dont do trends though as such, I like styles like deco and materials like glass and enamel. For me jewellery is like perfume - very individual and personal.

I have to come in and say I'm an addict :D I have well over 100 pairs of earrings, plus several necklaces. I also have a few bracelets, including 1 I wear 24/7.

Buuut I will at this point also state that I don't follow trends. My earrings come in several shapes and sizes, I have a couple of pairs I bought new from shops (both under £20 though). Most of mine have come from Ebay and were a few quid at most, many were £3 or under. About 80% of mine are 925 silver, and nearly all the hooks are at least, I am sensitive to other metals.

To be honest, I wouldn't want to spend £60, £80 on a pair - the silver centre there's jewellery at hundreds and I'd feel awkward wearing it.

I also have some that is specifically costume jewellery, especially some of my necklaces. Don't care in the least if it's cheap, I tend to have my very "unique" style.

I only wear jewellery that's pierced into me, A beautiful necklace my OH bought for a couple of christmases ago that cost about £20 on the odd occasion (I'm too scared I'll break it as it has huge sentimental value even though it didn't cost the earth), and my future engagment/wedding rings when my OH eventually decides to make an honest woman of me haha!

I love jewellery although I don't get a chance to wear it often, I can't wear it at work and I don't often go out now. I'm afraid I have terrible "WAG" type taste....the bigger and more sparkly, the better!

I love the QVC fake diamonds and I have a couple of pairs of drop earrings that I wear almost every day. I get loads of comments about them and a couple of people asked me where I got them and if they were real diamonds! (Like I'd be wearing head-to-toe Primark if I could afford diamond earrings :rotfl:)

I've also got a big blingy fake diamond ring that would cost around £7000 if it were real. I wore it with my wedding ring when I was working in a shop and our Saturday girl asked me if it was real. I told her that my husband had a Lottery win and that he spent the lot on the ring when he proposed. I forgot all about it until her mum came in one day and asked if she could have a look at my "lottery ring"!

I don't get the Pandora/Shamballa craze, I think that they look like cheapo stuff that teenagers would wear. They sell copies in my local market for three quid and I couldn't tell the difference. I don't get the Cath Kidson bag craze either.....they look like bags that old ladies would carry their knitting in!

I have one of the fully silver Pandora charm bracelets but all the charms on there are meaningful. I do have an older style gold charm bracelet and an older style silver charm bracelet. I have my engagement ring and a white gold or platinum (not sure which!) diamond necklace I got for my 21st and some other gold/diamond bits n pieces, including bracelets and earrings.

My big weakness is rings though, but not valuable ones, just ones from New Look!

I've had jewellery in the past but I'm not a girly-girl and I never remembered to wear it! So now I just have a simple ring, a pendant that I always wear, and an old-style charm bracelet where each charm is significant to us.
