I didn't see the cab. I put it in there to show I was seeking advice. I will ignore them from now on as I now know they can do jack
You have seen the letter-chains on the top thread though, and the Watchdog clip there? Please don't come back in a panic every time you get the next letter as they are all shown at the top of the forum in 'PPC letters & threats'.

Good man. Now be sure and tell all your friends so none of them get put in the same position you were in by these scammers. The more people that realise it is all a con, the sooner the con will end.
And the advice given by Citizens' Advice is truly a scandal. They took the word of the British Parking Association on the issues. The BPA is not an official or regulatory body, it was established by the parking scammers to further their own interests.
As someone here so eloquently put it, asking the BPA about a parking company is about as useful as asking the Don if the Ma-fia is behaving itself.....0 -
I have also had a parking 'fine' from Highview parking, and they clearly do not even acknowledge appeals.
I have had a number of threatening emails from them and I have registered a complaint with BPA. Everyone who has had dealings with this company should do the same...if they get enough penalty points from the BPA they can be suspended or even struck off for misconduct/unfair behaviour....it's worth a try to get these idiots out of the free car parks! You can send your complaints to the BPA here: aos@britishparking.co.uk0 -
I got an email from them telling me I had won my appeal0
-
Wish I'd been as lucky. That is the first time I've heard of them accepting an appeal....I've had nothing but nasty emails from them. :-(0

Sorry EP101 but you have obviously only just arrived on Planet Earth! Complaining to the BPA is about as much use as moaning to Ali Baba that his Forty Thieves have stolen something... it isn't any form of statutory body, it was created by the scammers themselves to give an illusion of respectability to their dirty trade..
One scammer even got taken to Court by Trading Standards for collecting "fines" by lying and were fined many thousands.. but according to the BPA they did nothing wrong..
well, I suppose by BPA standards they probably didn't, all the members are at it, aren't they?
I can recommend a far more effective appeals process. It goes like this:
1. Do not pay
2. Ignore everything they send you.
3. Wait for them to give up and go away.
It costs nothing and never fails!0 -

You are kidding, right? :rotfl:
BPA are just a front to lend a legit air to these scammers - the net result of any complaint to them would be nothing at all.
It has been demonstrated here umpteen times that the BPA don't even bother to adhere to their own code of conduct!0 -

I presume your real name is not 'Bosstunez' so the thought they saw you post and decided to give in is laughable.
You did the right thing, appeled and put your side of the story over - they accepted it and the matter is closed.
What a load of nonsense!!! The evidence of appeals being handled in a fair way is overwhelmingly against PPC's. To suggest that an appeal in a blue moon being allowed does not prove that they are considered on merit. How many appeals do you receive Perky and how many do you allow?"You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

But you are unable to dispute it.Perky wrote:I am not Perky but did have experience in the PPC industry and in my experience genuine appeals were always granted, this was a high percentage.
Again you are unable to substantiate it Perky."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

As he put up his appeal e mail in its entirety, it wouldn't have been very difficult to identify him even if his name isn't Bosstunez. You really don't fool anyone, Perky.
Except the elderly disabled that you send your fines to.0
