here's something different that I picked up on in the States.
Chop fruit up and serve with a dip made from soft chesse ( insert philladelphia type here ) and fluff.
fluff is the marshmallow spread you find in teacakes - not too easy to find , although I have found it in tescos before.
Its a wonderfull sweet dip.0 -
^tesco had a greek yogurt and honey dip with fruit which is lovelllyYes Your Dukeiness0

The fruit salad I make changes every time I make it because it depends on what looks best in the shop on the day. I find that most fruits go perfectly with most other fruitsA friend is someone who overlooks your broken fence and admires the flowers in your garden.0

definately gotta have kiwi and some form of melon in it.0

My fruit salad is made from whatever is available and I always use juice for the liquid and do not add extra sugar. I hate segmenting oranges so the juice is usually oranges. I find the fruits now sold for smoothies work well in a fruit salad and I have been known to use tinned pineapple chunks and mandarin oranges with their juice for Christmas Fruit Salads.0

My favourite mixture is based on a tin of mandarin oranges in syrup (not sweet enough for me in their own juice), then I add chopped bananas, halved fresh grapes, and frozen raspberries. The raspberries add a lovely colour to the juice. For a special occasion I might use some cherry brandy (left over from Christmas) instead of some of the juice, but this might not be to everyone's taste. I like greek yoghurt with mine; but this is just a recent discovery - I didn't realise how gorgeously thick and creamy and yummy it was, why didn't somebody tell me before? (Not the 'healthy option' version though, it's just not the same!)0

Greek yoghurt's fab; we use it instead of sour cream with chillis.Nelly's other Mr. Hyde0

I know what wouldn't be in it - those strange little cherries, with a colour that doesn't exist in nature, from the tinned stuff!
Real cherries would be good though, especially with the cherry brandy. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
If I'm doing a fruit salad for a party or whatever, I use a mix of just three or four fruits, maybe yellow/golden ones for a statement colour. If they're not particularly juicy fruits, I add either lemonade or ginger ale (especially nice if you've got melon in the mix).
Everyone always scoffs the lot!
