  • I used the Menzies lounge in Schiphol via lounge pass, thanks to GlennTheBaker, who had draft Heineken, spirits, wine, soft drinks, fruit juice, coffee, tea, cheese, biscuits, cuposoup, pastries.

Main reason was a quiet place for Mrs CM as she doesn't cope well with noisy situations.

Depends on how much and what you drink I suppose.
    I have a cunning plan!
Proud to be dealing with my debts.

  • The price depends on the airport - I use the lounge in leeds bradford airport for around £12 but it's £17 in manchester

https://www.executivelounges.com usually have some good rates

  • The Escape lounge at Manchester (sorry forgot which terminal) is great. When we were there a lady was constantly bringing in trays of freshly made sandwiches not the pre packed rubbish. There were the usual pre packed cakes, biscuits, crisps and nuts and loads of choice in the drinks dept. Made the start of our holiday brill as we flew on a bank holiday weekend and the rest of the airport was jam packed.
We got the lounge thrown in free when we booked at the high street travel agents. Another time we asked and got a lounge for half price. If you are actually going into a shop to book its worth asking. After all, what have you got to lose.
    Useless x;)

We used the Continental Lounge at Gatwick South Terminal (allows children) owned by Continental airlines using the Egg discount.

Brillant drinks etc, lovely loos made an excellent start to the holiday and I feel worth the money for the drinks and snacks, the cost of just a round of drinks for 4 persons at the airport adds up.
No Matter what you do there will be critics.
  • I used that Contnental Lounge in Gatwick South when I flew Business class with Qatar Airways, I didnt like it, I hated the American style Stall toilets and the facilities were minimal. And they allowed children in :-)

BA by far have the BEST lounges going, the facilities are superb. Mainly because the only way to get access is to have a BA silver or Gold, you cant pay to get in there.
  • we found them great at heathrow last year as its calm and quiet and the toilets were spotless, its nice to be able to chill out and talk rather than be surronded by 10 stag do's 10 hen parties and the noise and chaos that surronds anywhere you want to get a snack or a coffee. We deciede that the cost was worth while considering how much it costs to buy a couple of coffees and a sandwich each! I have booked them for our trips this year...if your traveling with kids do check tho as some are over 12's only
