Unauthorised transaction dispute

Remembering, of course, that it will be in the party-organiser's best interest to stop you from returning the item, as usually they get free stuff if they reach a certain level of orders, and your £25 might have been the one order that tipped them over the limit.
I strongly disagree with the "party" method of selling anyway - it's just peer pressure sales tactics, dressed up in a thin veil of "fun" and "a night in with the girls*"
*I also disagree with the phrase "the girls" - as unless you're "partying" with the entire female population of the world, it's not "the". It's like saying you're going to pick up "the kids" from school, then bringing home one of them, and leaving the other two at a petrol station on the way home.0 -
I still have not recieved goods or my payment back and I cancelled the order both via the phone and text message over a week before she took payment. This is why I contacted my bank and informed them of an unauthorised transaction. I used to do Ann Summers Party plan and I know how underhand the area sales managers are at times if they are power hungry and target driven.
And the whole order system is flawed and open to exploitation and abuse as payments are done away from the party and no proper receipt is given..
Short of it I either have my money or goodsOf all the things I have lost I miss my mind the most£2,960 in debt to RBS paying off at £10 a Fortnight0 -
I still have not recieved goods or my payment back...
Having studied the DSRs online I am none the wiser (and I note that the original posters who deprecated a general "right to cancel" have been silent:().
I will post a brief point, "Distance Selling refers to sales ..... basically where there isn't any face-to-face contact between the seller and the buyer". Clearly there has been an element of "face to face" with the agent, however who is the "seller"? AS or the agent?
Again a "heads-up" for anybody thinking of buying at a party, attend if you like, then buy the same items online to benefit from DSR protection.
In dealing with this issue (both AS and Natwest) first it needs to be determined whether or not Distance Selling Regulations apply. Then take it from there.0 -
Surely Anne summers have a complaints procedure?
What have Anne summers said regarding your query?Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
Stclair Ann Summers do not wish to speak to me and will not discuss the matter with me saying it is a case for the rep. All well and good when she has given up and changed her phone number.

Well I've called Anne summers and gave them your scenario. They say if you if have not received your goods in tens days they will contact the organiser on your behalf and the organiser should respond within 48 hours. They advised me the parcels are delivered to organiser then they deliver them to the customer etc. So give them a call on 0845 456 6948 and see how you get on.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
You said you did not recognise the transaction when you clearly do,
Maybe there is a play with words or a comprehension failure between bank staff and a financial layperson but the OP posted "I do not recognise the transaction as authorised". [my emphasis]
And then later, "however the "rep" still took payment for the items". The detailed discussion between the OP and the "rep" has not been posted but maybe following the discussion the OP thought the transaction was cancelled, therefore not "authorised".0 -

That's fine however from what I read they made a purchase the retailer processed the transaction then they made the decision to cancel. A dispute has been raised the customers account was refunded then the retailer has come back to the bank and said xyz so they have reversed the transaction seems pretty standard.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

However not sure how the op has disputed the transaction have they gone down the chargeback route or have they just said I don't know this transaction it's fraud maybe the the op could clarify.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0
