Hi,
My car needs two new brake pads and two new brake discs.
I know that you can get tyres on-line cheaper sometimes than local suppliers but have no idea whether you can get deals for brakes on-line.
Can anyone please advise me whether they are aware of any retailer/garage deals and on-line deals ?
Many thanks.

youre best off phoning around your local parts discount shops for the best price0

Local parts store or GSF tend to do best prices.0

Brake Parts International are good starting point. You may find cheaper by hunting but they'll give a good ballpark figure:

I finds Car Parts & Accessories a tad cheaper than the rest (depends where you live though I think, as they're not a massive company), such as Euro Car Parts etc. I'd avoid Halfords like the plague though, lol. Sometimes it's cheaper to shop online I find.0

That's what he asked stiggyboy so give him a clue.0 -
OP is asking can they buy discs and pads online to be fitted somewhere inclusive like blacksquare tyres to save dosh
the answer is no
tother problem is that depending when where how and why the vehicle was born can mean a plethora of different parts might have been fitted and often quoting registration or year to a supplier is next to hopeless when the parts come
saw this today big lump of a motor stuck on the ramp all day since all the parts that kept arriving for it were wrong
OP find a local independant trusted recommended garage and let them do the business
dont let them sell you forte for you engine though0 -
I've found Eurocarparts very cheap as they always have a code for 25% off - just done semi-synth oil/filter changes for a Golf and Transit for £45 all in, which is nothing as the Transit needs 8 litres of oil.0

As the OP is in Canterbury I would suggest these people
http://www.jayar.co.uk/branches/
They have branches in Ashford and Broadstairs, and I use them as well as Eurocarparts.0 -
Don't forget that if you buy the part then have a garage fit it, should there be a problem with the part, the supplier will replace the part, but the garage will still want paying for the labour of removing the offending part and fitting a replacement, and the part supplier will not reimburse you for this.
So for the sake of saving a fiver, the job could end up costing you an extra 50 quid.
If the garage also supplies the part, and something goes wrong with it, the garage are liable to make it right.0
