OK so the mention of tropical moments leads me to ask, what is the best way to get rid of lady moustaches (for sensitive skin)? ..........but if I don't do something soon I'll have a full beard, yuk.

Would this be an idea? :D

    Damn and blast.

I have just broken a tooth on a 1p candy cane! 1/4 of a lower molar is completely gone!

Anyone know how much this is going to cost to fix?

I hope I haven't blown all the savings I have made since joining MSE

Oh I do enjoy this thread. (Yes - Ive mostly caught up at last) We do go through it on here don't we?! The thing is, none of us can predict how anyone will react on any given day, and in print it's even harder to get the jokes, etc. We all have our little ups and downs; that's normal, but I do hope we all carry on.

I have had such a good laugh at the ex-hubby stories (funny; I don;t think any of those deeds were posted by the men amongst us?) and I love the "tropical storm" posts: What a great euphemism. (Btw I think the itchy legs is like the 'crawling ants' - quite a normal thing apparently - I used to get it around my top lip (!!) and it felt like pins and needles was just about to start!) I began my journey through the Tropical Storm fairly early (40) and it took me ages to work out a lot of it.

Anyway, the Tropical Storm made me realise how many here are a similar age to me - people I had thought younger/male etc!! :rotfl: Isn't it funny how we imagine people when we only know them through words? It's like a book - you imagine the characters and settings, then go to see the film and it's nothing like you imagined, because the characters etc aren't as you had seen them.

Couldn't have put it better myself, Mrs J. (Although I think that you'd like to be Mrs S.) :)

My store finally got some veg crisp in on clipstrips. They are still 1p :j

OK so the mention of tropical moments leads me to ask, what is the best way to get rid of lady moustaches (for sensitive skin)? I had an upper lip wax once but it got rid of every single hair and felt a bit weird. I'm not quite near the 'change' but if I don't do something soon I'll have a full beard, yuk.

You could try threading - the beautician uses cotton thread and sort of twists it and rolls it across the area where you want the hair removing and it plucks the hair out. I've had eyebrows done this way for about three years now and to me it is better than waxing as my skin used to go red and puffy for 2-3 days after. Whereas with threading it settles down within half an hour (like when you pluck your eyebrows). The big SuperDrug stores near me have a lady there and it's pretty cheap.
To infinity and beyond - but mostly to Tesco!:D
