Forgot to say gooooood morning all!!

And now here follows an off topic lecture to all those without fire alarms:eek::eek:

My friend woke up at 3am yesterday morning wondering who was setting fireworks off that were prob going to wake the kids...she looked out of the window and saw black smoke billowing out from above. The loft was on fire!!!!!!

She woke her OH and she got the 2 lads from their bedroom and he got the LO from her room and all got outside unharmed:) Alerted elderly couple next door who also got out and rang fire service.

10 minutes later the roof collapsed:eek::eek: There is no way the would have got out then as the entire hall, stairs, landing and boys room were engulfed in flames!

So pleeeeease will you all check your fire alarms today as theirs didn't work:eek: If you don't have one please see link below...this is what I did 6 months ago and it's very MSE and also you get to see men in uniform:rotfl::rotfl:

    Home Fire Risk Assessments

Many people are not aware that the Fire and Rescue Service will come and visit your home, completely free of charge, at a time that suits you. We will advise you on any aspect of fire safety within your home and help you devise an escape plan, if you do not already have one. Many Fire and Rescue Services will also fit, were required, free smoke detectors.
Further information on Home Fire Risk Assessments can be found here.

Sorry JJ, it's probably me being thick, but where do we go on the Unilever VIP page to get these coupons?
    Hope is not a strategy.

So glad that your friend and her family are all OK. A horrible experience for them.

We had the fire service do a risk assessment last year of our house. Very worthwhile advice. They told us the best escape routes in case of fire. Also checked all electrical sockets and smoke alarms. Replaced 1 smoke alarm for a more sensitive one.
I would definitely recommend people to call them.

In post today I received £50 and £15 LTS vouchers..:j:j:j

I dont usually walk the whole car park but I have started doing it now. My OH does it too but he is not to subtle about it. Anyway have quite a few JTD vouchers now including the Aunt Bessies pancake mix 4 x £1.79 T 4 X .20 A. So jtd £6.36!

Last week my total was £41.17 then used my £5 voucher then my JTD voucher and still got a till split for this week.

i used a wombled £5 voucher then other vouchers and only paid 7.00 for a £42 shop but still got a till split for £5 of the next week shop so i think the hduk quote was wrong it seems to be the origonal amount spent.
