There's a mcd right at the top of the hill where I live it's also the route home for the college students so there's always plenty of mcd litter blowing down our way, it would normally bother me but I've done well so far, I'd be too embarrassed to womble the car park :rotfl:

No don't be embarrassed! I had an embarrassing womble experience yesterday, I spotted two perfect good size receipts that had been carelessly cast aside in T's car park. Only problem was a man coming towards me to put his trolley away:eek: I couldn't leave them there! So I bent down to pick them up and the bottom one seemed to be attached to the tarmac with some kind of magnetic force:eek::eek::eek:

I got it in the end but it felt like I had bent over FOREVER but I was not about to leave it! Man with trolley gave me a very odd look!

A quick update and then I am off back to catch up from post 8281 ..............

We've had a good day today :j :j It was frosty this morning but sunny all day, just a chilly breeze to spoil it

Alan used his crutches to help him get around down at the car boot and got on well with them :D We went down about 10.30am and stayed till 1pm, chatting to friends, having cuppa and bacon sarnie each, wandering around the stalls a bit. Then I opened up the 2 storage containers to show Alan what was still there, and a friend who is two stalls away said he would get 'his lad' to open up the units and put as many boxes of stuff out to sell, and people can browse the vinyl records easily in one unit. He will cover the rent for that week (2 x £20) and the pitch fee and, after paying the lad, will split anything over that. This is great as it gets rid of stuff and covers rent, and he said he will do it for as long as we like or as long as it takes to clear it all :j :j When our friends were up here the other week, they put all the clothes that were in there into lots of bin liners and we said that the 13 yr old lad on the stall opposite can put them out next week and sell them for some money for himself, so he was chuffed with that. He was very upset when he heard about Alan's illness and asked him today how long he had to live  It takes a 13 year old boy to say those words, while people normally don't know what to say. He had no problem asking and Alan was happy to answer him with 'I don't know', saying 'I hope it's a long long time' .. bless him

When we got home, we watched some of the footie on tv, then Alan went for a lie down and I popped to the tip with a dozen black bags from when I cleared out the bedroom. I called into Mr T's on way back and got 2 x hearts for the doggies for 20p, a whole large cooked chicken for 86p, and two lots of b-b-q chicken portions for 40p each :j :j So we had some of the chicken pieces on their own when I got back and tonight had some of the chicken with rice and veg. Still plenty left for tomorrow too :D and the doggies enjoyed a little chopped heart on their dry food tonight ;)

My brother rang me tonight, prompted by my Sis ;) and we had a good natter and he said he will put a cheque in the post tomorrow for me, to make sure we have plenty. The money is from Mam's savings, and he will give the same to my sis which will be great for her too with being on very short wages at the moment, still off sick with her broken wrist and they go on 3 week USA holiday in only 5 weeks time. Mam wouldn't want us to be short, especially in the circumstances - she hasn't got masses of money but would rather we had some now, when we needed it, than struggle until the money is shared out when she goes

    Hi 3 dogs
    Thanks for the update
On the subject of superfoods, when my sister was recovering from ovarian cancer she was told to eat brazil nuts. Think it was because they were high in selenium.
Also my dad was prescibed vitamin c tablets to help with healing after he had surgery.
    Best wishes
    Caz

Thanks for that info Auntycaz - added to my notes :T :T

    Could be DTD brewing.

You may want to check in the morning. You could be able to get it back with a National offer that had begun by then. Obviously you bought 2 because you saw the offer online or in a T you passed. :rotfl:

Surely the offer is not decided store by store.

When I worked for Mr M, all offers and deals were sent by HO, they automatically scanned at the tills and were national. We just had to do the donkey work in changing SEL's and POS and ordering enough! Hmmmm. Still head scratching!

As I say, no signage so no chance of DTD yet. I'm going to keep a beady eye on this! I guess t's made an impromptu offer because of a's price, (hence no SEL or POS as yet) but I couldn't figure out why they pulled it so quickly! (down here at least!)

does it hurt for ages after when you have a tooth taken out then?
or is it hurting because of something else :\
You can't make someone love you. All you can do is
stalk them & hope they panic & give in

I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)
