Think I should start charging commission on theses Lindt bears as I first posted about them and only got a handful!

Anyway off to post my find on 1p thread if it's not there

Well done! -thanked you over there ;)

Wish my store wasn't so squeaky clean - would be quite fun for the kiddies to 'go on a bear hunt' for Easter! :) ...I might take this as a challenge!

HC - WOW! -and I like the straight lines too- my DH says I am not OCD, but CDO - that is, with the letters in the right order :p

Managed to find another 87 bears in a tesco garage shop.
Managed to get 361 in total, nearly all of these will be going in my little girls party bags.

Nearly all in party bags, how many people you inviting?!?!

Been looking for the bears for a week or so now (someone posted a while ago about them) and not found any near me, so not really gonna look for these on a special trip, but will keep an eye out.

    Had quite an MSE day.
Started by getting up at silly o'clock to do a bootsale. Took £300, so quite pleased, and hardly any of that was reselling T's stuff.
Came back and finished using my Black and Decker £12 sander on the garden furniture (used double up vouchers a few years ago to get them) before repainting them so don't need to buy new ones. Jus polishing off a box of thorntons liquers with a freebie San Miguel now whilst checking on the bits I put on Ebay cos they were too good for the bootsale.

Been looking for the bears for a week or so now (someone posted a while ago about them) and not found any near me, so not really gonna look for these on a special trip, but will keep an eye out.

There's 70 kids. I've never done her a party before so I'm inviting the whole class (50 kids) plus family kids, the bag cost 3p each and going to put in each bag
    1 bag Haribo jellies (1p)
    3 Lindt bears (3p)
    1 candy cane (1p)
1 small bar chocolate (1p) (asda had selection boxes with 10 little bars for 10p)
    1 necklace bubbles (20p)
1 little pet shop figure (4p)
    Total 33p per bag
Entertainment costing nothing as he owed me a favour and I'll use the ssm vouchers to buy the food from Iceland so all that's left to arrange is the cake.
september wins - toshiba laptop, timotei shampoo & conditioner, mccains games, pimms picnic blanket.
october wins - grants tumblers, £20 petrol voucher, sega console, iphone
novembers wins - £50 on walkers rainy day, £50 itunes voucher
    march wins - dog treats

Glad you enjoyed it after being worried about going.
did you get swamped at the start?
hope you didn't see too many of your patients (or did you have a hat and sunnies on to disguise yourself?) lol..

    yep 3 patients
one didn't recognise me, had to whisper in her ear, ii think she still didn't get it but bought all my cuddly toys then went for a wander and came back when the penny had finally dropped. she gave me an extra pound when she realised we were donating all proceeds to charit. Got the kids to help her collect all her other reserved items from several other stalls and take them to the car for her. just hope she doesn't think i'll be that generous in surgery:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

another looked at me and laughed as if what are YOU doing here grrr!!!!! as if docs are loaded or something.....not this one bigger grrr!!!!!

Didin't do a bootsale so shoved a few things on the facebook local selling site and made over £70 :D no fees and no haggling in the cold and best of all no standing in a muggy field hopping around and refusing a drink as I need a wee :)

ooh can i have some advice on this please before i try this to clear any leftover junk, just done a facebook search and wow quite a few in my area, is there anything to be aware of with these type of traders, i presume there is more haggling and less protected than ebay obviously less costly.

Glad the boot sale went well for you Celebrate, I'm tempted to try one of these as well, got a lot of DD's stuff taking up space so I'm wondering if it moght be worth giving it a bash.

thankyou, i would def go for it
lots of lessons learned for me
go in nice weather, be prepared with your stock, don't have time to sort things when you get there
    people won't buy rubbish
they want nice quality stuff dirt cheap
don't take new stuff that you want a good price on (alot of my new DTD items-electrical etc), most people will try hard to haggle you down to almost nothing so unless you are desperate to get rid, sell it somewhere you will make a better profit.

I had some brand new designer curtains that hadn't been up cost me 49.99, someone wanted a £1 for them, the insult:eek::mad::o:D:p

i took a few stocking fillers that i thought people may be interested in, some stationary i got from claires for £1 and some extra bath sheets -remember those lol?! people were asking for ridicolus amounts less than cost so i only sold a few and turned down silly offers.

I wasn't swamped in the morning but my neighbour did say they sought out a trader themselves and sold all theor kids toys first thing and didn't wait for the regulars to come to them!

i am sooooo glad we got rid of the jellies and custards though, flew out 10 for a £1 also special K-remember the glitch at asda? oh and the revitalise drinks from boots that i realised after weren't suitable for vegetarians and the ricola sweets did quite well too lol!! pleased that the stash of OEP's is slightly lower even if my brother nearly gave them away.

pls don't think i glitch just to carboot, the things i sold was stuff getting near its sell by date that o knew we wouldn't be able to finish or stuff the kids didn't like-problem i have is following my discovery of T's, my kids and Oh have got used to the good life, magnums instead of icepops (now kelly's clotted ice cream), real coke, sweets and chocloates ....the list is endless....let's hope the glitches continue
