you'll only be wasting your GP's time and your own if you go to them with toothache. They wont prescribe you anything as its dental.
All you need to do is phone NHS direct who i think are open 24 hours a day and ask them about emergency dentists in your area that are open tomorrow.
But then I guess it depends on how much pain you're inI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Hi Tricia
Hope you don't think I was trying to say you are hairy
Reference to Movember - November is the month when men grow moustaches and beards for prostate cancer charity and has been nicknamed Movember.
Hope the painkillers will help until you can see your dentist - May is a long time to wait though if you are in pain.0 -
Did anyone guess Locarr's make of car (still catching up) was it a Volvo?0

When I was at the emergency dentist at the walkin there was a huge arguement because a doctor prescribed pain relief for dental pain when there was a dentist there. Apparantly at ours they can't if there is a dentist on the premises which there always is. This however didn't help me as I was there as a nervous patient in the chair waiting sedation while they were arguing:eek: (that's what I looked like)queen_of_cheap wrote: »you'll only be wasting your GP's time and your own if you go to them with toothache. trying to finds emergency dentist to go tomorrow but cant find one
Please don't do what someone told my hubby when he had toothache last year, which was to rub paracetamol/asprin etc into the gums, yes it helps a little bit, but apparently it causes a lot of damage to the gums and root of the tooth - dentist was not too pleased when they found out what he'd done! Our local paper lists our closest emergency dentist, that's how we found where to take him the following day, although, we had to find out what time they opened, as the first 20 phone calls got the appointments for the day! Hope you're feeling better soon xxx0
