Many of you will have noticed that I'm an early riser and it is for that very reason. I believe it is the best time of day for such an activity. The serenity, quietness and stillness helps the senses tune into nature. Watch the dawn break, smell the change in the in the air, hear the hum of life. A time to appreciate what you have now and reminisce about what you had. I feel lucky to be able to stand and stare, do you?

Before I forget... good morning :)
    me too.
I like to go for a run by the sea and have a favourite old cypress tree that makes nice wise 'talking' noises when the wind blows in a certain direction.

Sadly no run today- sandwich duty and meetings at work. -but the sunrise is lovely!

Happy birthday yesterday to Fudge2 and Caz!

and happy day to the rest of us!:)

Yes, very lucky. I sometimes find the pace of life far too fast and have to make a deliberate effort to slow things down so that I can appreciate what is sitting under my nose. Think a lot passes us by because we are too busy or preoccupied to notice.

For the past few months ive been looking at Betelgeuse in Orion, its easy to spot, look for Orions belt (3 stars in a line) in the south west (will be in the west later). Its the oragne star to the top left. Like looking at it cos its 450ish light years away so when you look at it thats how it looked 450 years ago...!!!! its 1000 times bigger than our sun and is due to go bang anytime.. or it may have already gone bang 100 years ago but the light hasnt reached earth yet...

If it was where our Sun is, we would be swallowed up near its core and its outer edge would be where Jupiter is.. so its blooming big...:rotfl:

Just checked for the Space Station fly pasts, it is over the UK at the mo but early in the mornings, tomorrow 04:46 SSE and again at 06:09 W.. but i wont getting up at that time...:o

DD and i saw the orangey coloured one last night and wondered what it was,so thanks for answering.Do you know wht its that colour?:D
