My 7 yr daughter NEEDS to know the name of the person that invented the wheel - none of my explanations work, she's convinced we should know the name of someone who invented something so important LOL0

Hi everyone,
Phew had over 1000 posts to catch up and only just over half way so have come to the end to make sure not missing anything and a good job I did otherwise might miss wishing Queen of Cheap a very Happy Birthday.
FloFlo you are coming down my way if you are going to Rockley, will send you a PM when I get chance with details of nearest Ts.And just wanted to say I think you will find an inner strength to read at your mums funeral and I'm sure all of us here will be behind you on the day. Thinking of you at this hard time. x
Calmspirit hope you are feeling better x
Had a totally wasted day yesterday hunting for a credit card bill that seems to have gone walkies before it's been paid, turned the place upside down and think either been recycled or packed by DDs who went back to uni after mothers day.
No Ts for 3 days for me, mum had hospital appointment this morning and going to be referred for review of pain relief at local hospice, consultant thinks the tiredness and confusion could be because of current mix and maybe patches will be better, not sure your take on that Celebrate. Also going to do another CT scan in next couple of weeks to see if anymore radiotherapy can be given as pain now lower than where radiated before. Blood tests done too so full service being given.
Catch you all later, popping off for now and still have catching up to do so may not get time to post before tomorrow, hope not missed anything.0 -

was a bit sceptical but the doc said I need that in ADDITION to the pills. I also use itchy eyes eye drops.
Not been too bad yet.
I also get "bounceback" sinus trouble.
I hate living in London - think I would be so much better by the sea.bettyboo1923 wrote: »Morning everybody. Now I've found this thread I'll try to pop in more often but it moves so fast!!
Laura I assume you're suffering from hayfever. I get it in May and June and know what you mean about wanting to rip your eyes out. The only tablets that work for me are piriton but they make me so drowsy - probably because at the height of the season I end up taking about 8 a day!
Try bathing your eyes in optrex or something similar - use eye drops - and just around the lids very sparingly use vaseline - it's supposed to trap the pollen, also in the nostrils. Doesn't stop it altogether but i think it helps. If all else fails would your doctor give you an injection for the season. Very few will use an injection as it's steroid but it certainly works, stops the symptoms in a couple of hours and lasts the whole season.
Have you also heard of the tablet vaccination - think it's called Gravax. Don't know if it's any good but you need to see your doctor early in the year, well before the hay fever season starts. May be useful for next year.
My first multiquote!
Clipstrip Bargains - I know how you feel! and it is better by the sea in some ways, but we have lots of big old trees near us that aren't necessarily in the city. I think it is the willow, birch, and the yew trees that really get me.
Bettyboo1923 - I will definitely take it to heart. I have awful childhood memories of going with my mum for her to get countless jabs every week and I have always dreaded ending up like that- but might talk to the nurse about it this Friday as I have an appointment... will report back!
Back to catching up!0
