I don't want to cause any ill feeling but I just want to say, as much as it pains me to admit it, after years of trying to prove otherwise, that sometimes it's just not possible to heal wounds when the battle is only being fought on one side. I sincerely hope that in the vast majority of families, family members would fight for others, would value eachother's happiness and love eachother dearly enough to put the effort in to build/maintain relationships but of course this isn't the case with everyone and it certainly isn't the case with mine. My only reason for pointing this out is that it's important that people know when you've done your absolute best, when you've given everything you've got and it's still not working, there's no shame in admitting defeat and walking away. A relationship is only ever going to be healthy if its 50/50 and there are many people, myself being one of them many moons ago that will live half a life, shouldering the blame and never ever feeling loved because they are always overlooked.
A little bit deep I know, but I just wanted to say something. I really hope I haven't upset anyone and just to clarify if the above is misconstrued...to me family, be that biological or otherwise (friends etc) are our reason for living.[/QUOTE]
I agree. You can only do so much and the other person needs to respond but if they do respond, give them an olive branch.0 -
dopey_sleepy_grumpy wrote: »thanks karen, it makes me so mad . I really don't think this idiot has thought things through. They claim to be doing what they are because they think it is wrong for people to take advantage of the mistakes these companies are making. However, have they stopped to think why these mistakes are happening in the first place.
Tesco has a fair number of senior directors, all sitting happily behind desks, claiming high salaries and expense accounts, living in the lap of luxury, whilst many people are struggling to make ends meet. Muppet mark thinks that by helping these fat cats, they are working to the better good of mankind. Erm, i think not you lunatic, these stores employ people specifically focused on price integrity. All mark it doing is allowing these people to do a shoddy job while he does their job for them, free of charge.
If he wants to do charity work, why doesn't he do it for a more worthy cause like the peace hospice. There are so many charitable organisations that are crying out for people to help, yet this self proclaimed vigilante is working purely to line the pockets of those that are sitting pretty in their huge mansions, reaping the benefits of massive retirement payouts and luxury lifestyles all round.
Mark i hope your 15 seconds of fame with the media is worth it. Perhaps if you read some of the posts on this thread it would bring home to you the real reason why communities are built around finding bargains. Ok not everyone needs to save a few pounds or so on their weekly shop. These people will simply find another hobby to follow, whilst those that genuinely rely on the money saving tips will fall deeper into debt and their family will have to forgo the essentials they require to get through day to day life.
I hope this post doesn't offend anyone. I will add that these comments are my own personal opinion.
I hope you sleep well at night knowing how many people your vengeance trip is affecting. Get over whatever trip you are on and consider those who need and rely on finding a good deal on essentials like food and clothes to live a life without poverty.
Tried to do clap smilies but wouldn't work! But well said!0 -
To be honest, I think it's best for us to ignore this MT character. The less attention he gets on here, the better.0

These would have been ideal to go with the forks that always seem to be offer.
I've yet to find these yet but I often hear the SA's speaking about "another forkin glitch going on".

3Dogs....once again :iloveyou: Some very lovely comments on here tonight about how fantastically you and Alan are coping together with his illness. You really are such an inspiration to behold and I'm sure you're both equally proud of eachother. You're doing a brilliant job and I'm so pleased to hear you're both out and about together, just a little break from the monotony of being stuck inside must be doing Alan the world of good. You really are an :A xxxx
Bensonsmum so sorry to hear about your carAfter my last bill (£1100) towards the end of last year I thought atleast I might get a few years trouble free! Well now the bloomin airbag light keeps coming on and apparently there's a new regulation coming in where your car will fail the MOT automatically if this happens. And it's a v v complex job to put right involving removing all the seats :mad:I don't even wanna think about it right now! I've had the car from new (55 plate Peugeot 206) and it's only worth about £2500 now
QOC- HAPPY HAPPY Birthday!!!!! :bdaycake:Will PM you tomorrow about our meeting! :j:j:j
my_old_mans_a_dustman- I agree with what many have said, they wouldn't have asked you if they didn't really value the time you spent with Betty and I think you'd be really proud of yourself, deservedly so, if you did it :A
