Night 3Dogs
So pleased to read that you and Alan are getting out and about and meeting up with friends.
It must boost Mr 3Dogs morale not being stuck inside 24/7 and it must give you a bit of a breather too.
I find the pair of you truly inspirational, I really do :AMy husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
Good evening everyone, good grief you do talk I have LOADS to catch up on!
I've had a mad day around the Land of Mr T and some funny things to share with you!
Got there in the end, you would never guess he did sales for a living.
Then elsewhere, I was almost trouted with the bread coupons, trout couldn't scan them so had to input all 8 manually:D:D then she apologised to the people waiting behind me! How rude.I made a point of apologising to them myself to spite Trout.
A most entertaining day!:T:T:T
love it.....i like watching and listening to them coming out with all the reasons under the sun not to give DTD, then doing it anyway!!!!
Adding to this, and to Purdita's reminiscing of TV comedy.....my favourite one liner to use...especially on rude Ts staff is from Ab Fab....when Eddie goes into an art gallery and the SA is looking down her nose at her...Eddie walks off with the manager, turns to the SA and says 'You only work in a shop you know, you can drop the attitude!'.....i love it!! :rotfl:
Not knocking anyone who works in a shop (I work in a pub!)....but when you get that snooty SA who you know deep down is just jealous cos you've got a bargain or DTD...its such an apt comment!!! :rotfl::rotfl:hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0 -

Fudge_Cake - I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well and that your mum's family are being bustards to her again, she sounds like an absolutely lovely woman with a wonderful daughter to look after her interests. I know you can't be with her on her bday but how about nominating a day next week when she can have a second bday like the Queen or something? Then you can treat her and make her feel special, her bday treat doesn't have to be on her bday, she'll appreciate it any time xxx[/QUOTE]
I used to have this problem with my late mum bless her. On her birthday my sister would travel to see mum and take her out, never mind that anyone else wanted to spend time with her on her birthday.
I was always sidelined, but did get to make it up by arranging a day for mum and me, just us two. As the years rolled on her altzimers progressed and it was a stranger and me. She was no longer like my mum, and I wasn't her daughter. She often told me this 'I've never had children, what sort of girl do you think I am' :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I eventualy had to laugh about this, oh the happy days we had. There's no place like home

There’s a new Tesco price leaflet booklet in my local paper - I suppose this should be on the coupon thread but I have posted it on here so as it gives the really smart cookies on here time to work out the best possible way of making use of the coupons:
£1 off £4 spend on yoghurts.
£1 off takeaway meal bag or box for two.
£1 off £4 spend on deli cooked meats/savouries counter.
£2 off £10 spend on Tesco finest easter eggs.
£1 off £2 spend - Tesco finest Bake at Home bread.
Thanks I doubt we'll be using the last one :rotfl:0 -

Like you say there is nothing wrong with working in any type of job but I could have used this the other day with a SuperTrout who didn't want to refund me...it wasn't even a DTD just a refund! She asked me why it was coming back (er none of your business) then proceeded to phone someone up for authorisation...she SO needed to be on the receiving end of this, after refund was processed of course!Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be
And get lots of glitches!0
