OH is out until 2am taking Sport Relief calls. So it is just me, oh and you guys.

I have one more 9 hour shift to get through tomorrow and then a day of rest on Sunday, cannot wait.

Nothing to report on the way up. Denby was either priced correctly at £85 or had been removed completely. Seems the Denby is being phased out..........old hat now I guess so gladd I got mine at a 'discounted price'!!

I bought some batteries and used 3 SSM vouchers and discount didn't come off. Never mind I thought, I got 4 packs last night for 47p so 4 more packs for 6.40 ish is not the end of the world.

Was then told theres two barcodes on AA ones and I'd got the wrong ones so in the next store thought I'd take them back and buy the correct ones with the other 3 SSm vouchers I'd got left.

I approached CS desk and asked her if I could return them. No problem she says and beeps one. Asks me how I paid and I try to show her the receipt and say "cash, 8.98 as they were on bofgof" she says ok and gives me £17.88 back! Bizarre!

Went and bought the 'correct' ones but still only bogof but used the SSM vouchers. Works out they paid me about £5 to take the 4 sets away. No wonder Tesco are struggling to make money!!!!

there is a few ways.

Frstly, both Tesco and Asda have a price check system, a promotional tool to show they are the cheapest. After doing your shop, you input the receipt details online and they will they either show you straightaway or email you to show if your shopping was cheaper elsewhere. If it was cheaper then they let you print a voucher for that amount (and an extra 10% if asda) which you hand in with your receipt at the till for money off.

Both these can be manipulated a bit to your advantage if our do your shopping cleverly, but by "Wombling" receipts and putting them in the computer you can get vouchers to save money, even though other people paid in the first place.

With tesco receipts you can also get clubcard points added to your account with any receipt at the customer service desk, as long as the person who did the shipping did not use their clubcard.
