Yes mix it with some hot water and use a mop to do floorboards with.

How did the water leak through ?

not too sure....landlord thinks that something came loose in the cistern but that wouldnt explain the horrible smell

Just seems weird that it started leaking after the floorboards were up last week to do the heating

    Completely OT.....

does anyone have any tips on making your toilet room smell less like a public loo when you've had water leaking through the kitchen ceiling?

    TIA :-)

Vinegar in a dish is good for removing nasty niffs? Otherwise you've got something somewhere you need to get some bleach on. Drying it out will also help. :)

One of the joints in the heating pipes is leaking by the sound of it.

Most times when I come across this it's the cold water tank over flowing.
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

Pie is in the oven, tatties are boiling. I've put a plate on top of the tattie pan and placed the sweetcorn and petits pois on top of the plate covered by a bowl so they warm through. Broccoli is on so should be stuffing my face in 10 minutes.:beer:

Sounds delicious:TI've just tried the tomato bread that I did this afternoon, it's as delicious as the cheese & onion:)
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:
