Not feeling too great today with all the stress of everything at home. It's Mum's birthday Sunday, it's not a massive milestone, it was her 50th last year and I took her to London for a long weekend, but still, a birthday is a birthday and she deserves a bit of escapism even for just one day. Now my Aunty, who fair enough has been looking after my Grandfather this week, has said she has to get away for the weekend so now it's up to Mum to look after my Grandparents meaning I won't even see her on her b'day and nobody will even say Happy Birthday to her :( It might not seem like much but small losses like this are compounded by the overall selfishness and negligence that our 'family' has shown throughout the last 9 years and it hurts that much more, that we'll be seperated and she's just been sidelined once again. This isn't a new occurence, my Mum's so lovely and selfless, in her mind she always comes on the bottom rung because that's how she's always been treated. She should feel special and worthy enough to be bothered that her own parents/sister don't even acknowledge her birthday but because it's always been like this, she doesn't feel she deserves more. She even had to buy her own 18th b'day cake !!!!!!! I just want her to be happy! :(:A

  • Nice result in sainsbobs for me just now. Decided to try the huggies voucher on the bigger economy pack of 56 nappies that is on offer for 6.65 at the moment. The guy on ss checkout typed in the amount of my full shop rather than just the £6.65! So I got 10.99 shopping for free! Wish I'd bought a bit more now lol!!!

    hello all

this thread seems just up my street ive not laughed out loud for such a long time as some of your antics im really grateful as ive had an horrendous week which would need another days of writing but im fine today just ride out the storm so to speak;)

anyway i promise to read from the start later on when ive got the pc to myself and the rest of the house are doing their own stuff or sleeping just to really get into your savings and guidance and laughs

so thanks to all who post on this wonderful thread and lucky i found the thread today

have a fun weekend and hope to be able to contribute too with any of my own findings

    cheers maz:D

just a quick thought have to go to mr t tonight to get those easter eggs found some at 2.75 each with a cup and had a local coupon saving 2.50 off over 10.00 spent, so i was wondering to get the whoopsies whats the best time you all find, or is it a bit of a hit the store at diff times to get an idea when the whoopsies are available

    ta maz

Hello Maz and welcome you've come to the right place!:j

As far as whoopsies go, you're right, most stores have completely different reduction methods and it largely depends on how much you want to spend. Most supermarkets, as a guide will reduce to 50% at some point during the afternoon, perhaps around 5pm. The 90% reductions happen later in the day, I always suggest to get there about 7pm and see. In my T's there's never anything left in the reductions cabinet after 7ish, I can only get 80/90% reductions at T's on Sunday afternoon, but I think I'm the exception as many get these mega reductions on a nightly basis in their store.

If your store is going to have 90% reductions they are unlikely to be done before 7 so start your shopping at 7 and keep nipping back to the reductions cabinet to spy the reductions SA and his/her faithful printer ;) Or in my case, I just listen for it a few aisles away! :o:o:o:p It's all about getting to know your store and it's routine but don't worry it shouldn't take long :D GOOD LUCK! :A
Welcome, we are a friendly bunch here.

Anyone care to point maz in the right direction for the start of the Elite :D :rotfl:

How many years ya got to spare maz?? :rotfl::rotfl:
