A good shopping day for me today :)

Got DTD on 10 of the Solar Sunscreens earlier :D

Then this evening went out to see what whoopsies I could find and got:

    Whole chicken 65p
4 pk pork shoulder steaks 90p
    Strawberries 29p
    2 x lilies 40p and 50p
Roses bouquet 75p (which I took round to my lovely neighbour)
6 x 4pk Duracell batteries £26.82 less BOGOF £13.41 less another £4.47 less £6 SSM coupons = £2.94 (should have read the thread properly before I went out as I think I could have got another 2 packs for free :()

Got some new cream bath sheets for £4 each :)

New find I think - plain chenille cushions in berry colour. Yellow SEL said £3, but some went through at £3 and some at £5.98.

The cushions are almost identical - the ones with a grey tag bce 8092 go through at £3 and are called Tesco Plain Chenille Cushion - Berry.

The ones with a black tag bce 7669 go through at £5.97 and are called F&F Plain Chenille Cushion - Berry ;)

CS offered me JTD on these as the bar codes were different, could have pushed it but these were quite accidental as I also had the sunscreen in the same transaction so was content to get paid to take those away :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

So all that shopping for £9.33 :T:T:T

Then when I took my trolley back someone had left some wrapping foil in a trolley :D

    Lots of wombles too ;)

    Lovely shopping trip:T:T:T:T:T:T

HI 3Dogs pleased to hear things are going so well for you both.

OH and his mates stag do has been arranged for over a year, and OH did want to cancel it but FIL was insistant that he went, his reasoning being that its all paid for and he said "to be honest with you, your doing my bleeding head in, im not a child and don't need a babysitter so whether you go or not i have plans for this weekend which don't include you - so you may as well go as im busy" this is what my FIL said to my OH, little did i know when he said it that i was the plans he had arranged for the weekend :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: as i said before i have a knackered arm, the doctor said its tennis elbow - but to me it doesn't feel like my elbow it feels more like the bone running down the length of my arm from elbow to wrist, so can see its going to be great fun getting him up the hill to the pub, it will be ok going home as i will just let him go and meet him at the bottom:eek::eek::eek::eek:

I've got tennis elbow, having my op on Wednesday and thats where my pain is worse from elbow to wrist:(
Love the way your FIL got OH to go for the weekend:)Visions now of your FIL freewheeling down the hill in a wheelchair:rotfl:

    Good Boy Happy, welcome home:T:T:T:T:T

We did more:eek::eek::eek: but thats gone home with QPR:oWe didnt even get to the T's with the handheld scanners we only hit 2 T's. We found lots of nice bits and got lots of Mothers day stuff really reduced, £1 shoes reduced from £19.50, 50p baby vests,50p girls knix, 11p wedding keyrings and boxes of 18p confetti. We used a few coupons for bread mix and nappies too.Was well worth the few hours we were out;);););)It's quite good if you pair up because if one of you forgets something the other usually remembers it, like I always remember the clothes glitches but QPR can spot a £1 dressing gown a mile off:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I just kept wandering around muttering "Sausages" we didn't get any :( and I got distracted on the way back from the scanner as I met another Ranger that I recognised but didn't actually know so we swapped fb adds.

    Fab evening but very tiring

    Welcome back Happy

I know this is completely OT but can i ask for you all to help me please, my friend has made a cake and entered it into a competition and i believe she really deserves to win, she has made it all by hand and it looks absolutely beautiful - too good to eat in my opinion.

Would those of you that have facebook please like and share for me, she would be so chuffed to win and im sure that you will understand why she should in my opinion win

    Thanks guys :j:j:j

    The link for it is

I've 'liked' it as we all kinda stick together on here, but hand on heart I have to say I liked the next cakes best. Loved the uniqueness of the 'morphs' on the cupcakes depicting the pregnancy...birth....childhood.......all through to grandchild. Very well thought out and very delicately decorated I thought.

Hi you elite sausage munchers, :p

First, (as always) 3Dogs: have a good day out tomorrow. Hope Alan has a good time.

Love and hugs to all who need them. Welcome to all the new apprentices.

    Now me: :D

Still not 100%, :( but did get out to T's today and had a lovely whoopsie session; just me and the SA, store was that empty.

Got loads of massive packs of Chicken Supremes at 20% normal price. Meat freezer bulging again. :D
Various other bits and bobs. mainly Finest Range meals, again for next to nothing.
    Best though was Salmon Fillets: £4 each or 3 for £10. I got 6 @ 40p each = £2.40. At checkout Multibuy kicked in: 2 x £2off.
In other words got paid £1.60 to take away £24 worth of lovely Salmon.
Love it when a glitch comes together. :D
Total Haul: £124, Total Paid: £20.40

Funny thing was Mrs OB only asked me to pop in for a cauliflower, some green beans and some mushrooms. :o:p

Thanks also to the OP for the info about the Heinz soups 4 @ £1.50. :T
Got the opportunity to stop an oldish couple who were filling up their trolley at the promotion end with Tins of Tomato and Chicken. I got them to follow me to the end of the aisle and happily left them getting twice as much for their money. Felt good. :o

Feels good, doesn't it. Well done, Tricia; you're on your way now, love.

Still catching up but :mad::mad:, was looking forward to a new table and chairs:rotfl::rotfl:
And has anyone noticed that the same donut that posted on Kay & co facebook page about the tables (and HotelCs quoting this thread) is now on Tescos page telling them about the batteries and sausages:mad:
Sorry you missed out Sharon; though I suspect they would have spotted it eventually with the amount of people ordering at the same time.

That said, it doesn't help with this person doing what he's doing.

It's pretty obvious he (assuming it is a he) has some grudge against MSE/the Elite and HUKD

Okay, off to bed. Good night, sleep tight, and don't let the flour mites bite. :p

    OB

btw: @fourp: thanks for the kind wishes this morning; really perked me up this morning when I was feeling carp. :)

Oh, and well done on a good win on the quiz yesterday. I'm 2nd bottom today: how the mighty have fallen :D.
    Last ciggie - 28/01/2012

If you are not paying for it, you're not the customer; you're the product being sold.
  • ML....thanks for the battery glitch. I don't use many but did get 4 packs and used 4 SSM vouchers so 4 packs for 47p is ok in my book! xx

I gave the info to one of the bargain hunters in my local that I've been 'training' lately. I took her to another store and got her to do a DTD on a microwave recently. She then proudly told me today how she'd been in her local express and wrangled DTd for some cappucino sachets that scanned at 2.98 with an SEL of 1.50......she was full of it! :)

Bad news was she got bloody trouted lol. I was stood there while it all happened and felt terribly guilty about it all lol. Never mind, you win some, you lose some.

If people still report it working tomorrow, I'll text her to try again as she's got SSM coupons to use too.

I'vwe still got 6 SSM duracell coupons so might be tempted by some more if it still works tomorrow.
