The dress is lovely, you should get it. Don't let anyone put you off. If you have a figure for that dress at 52, fair play!
Its not short, its not low - perfect for the mother of the bride, you'll look classy and smart.
Fab at 52 is something to be proud of. I'm sure your daughter doesnt want you dressing like a prudish old granny
As for the "shot gun" comment - it was uncalled for and rude. Perhaps the person who made it is feeling a bit jealous that you can totally rock a dress like that0 -

You are welcome, and the funny thing is I was at a wedding last summer and wore a long black and white striped halter neck dress (coast) with red shoes, red bag and three large red flowers in the back of my hair. Are we living in a parallel universe : )Love your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.0 -
