Thought it might be! I have the s9600 (about 5 camera before yours) and they are great. I only go to 300mm zoom, instead of your 720mm, so I can't always get that close on shots like th Swan.

I can recommend spending some time on the Talkphotography website - loads of very useful info to get the best out of the camera.
