Hi
Does anyone have a spare Sunday code?
I have a spare Saturday code to swap or will pass this on if not required.
Please PM.
Thanks in advance.0 -
Just seen the email. So now for the £2.75 that the Monday to Friday papers will cost - that's assuming they stay at 55p and they don't sneak in a cheeky price rise - it depends how many points you can earn each day compared to Saturday's 100 and Sunday's 150, if they're all going to be instantly banked. Someone in Scotland will have to let us know what the deadlines are for Thursday and Friday codes (midnight of the following day), if everything used to reset itself for the following weekend (no) and now there won't be a break.
Just to expand on this - on the trial run in the Scottish edition, there weren't 7 boxes that were reset each week. Weekday points (variable value) were 'stand-alone' and banked instantly so you could add them on an occasional basis. The weekend points (always 100/150) went into the current collection as usual (glitches aside!). Latterly the SDMail offered an extra carrot - enter a specified amount of codes within a week and they would top up your banked points with a further 100 / 200 points depending on what they were offering that week - but it wasn't compulsory to collect the full set; you still got points for codes you'd put in, though not the bonus.
Whether the Mail will continue this format after the relaunch is anyone's guess, but I hope they'll still offer the choice of weekdays only, weekends only, or both should you wish.I am wondering if people whose no is not valid have got one which has already been used by someone who has taken the no and not bought the paper. This is something which could happen a lot with the new scheme, someone just walking into the shop, writing down the no and walking out again.
I worry about this as well and always take my paper from waaaaaay down the pile in the shop in the hope that fraudsters haven't already had their peepers on my code. While it was a good idea to do away with the cards - saves wondering if it's going to be there or not - the Mail needs to go a step further and conceal the codes on the back page with e.g. a scratchcard-type coating so we can be confident our code hasn't been copied.

My prediction, currently you get 250 points a week (100 on Sat, 150 on Sun).
20 points a weekday, 60 on Sat, 90 on Sunday. With the points needed to claim the more popular rewards going up (and the least popular decreasing).0 -
I've decided to give the The Daily Mail the benefit of the doubt until September 22nd... but they can expect a major backlash if they take the p*ss with the new rule changes! PS: Im surprised that The Frozen Planet DVD is only 1500 points. This is an awesome 3 disc Boxset and its currently £19.27 at Tesco Entertainment and £21.97 at Asda Direct... but it only costs the same amount of Reward Points as a £5 Tesco / Asda Gift Card!!!0

Where are they going to put the Daily Code ??
The weekend ones are in a supplement which is often sealed in
newsagent
If it is the main paper what is to stop someone reading it in newsagent and taking the code down ??
In the Scottish version they are now putting the code on the back page and my hubby bought it in W H Smith last week and took the paper from the bottom of the pile (he said there were around 7 there) and when I tried to put the code on it was not valid so someone had obviously used it. It was the Wednesday before I thought that I should phone the Daily Mail but my papers were already at the bottom of the blue recycling bin so I didn't bother. They might have asked me what was on certain pages in the Monday paper as that happened once before when my card wasn't in the mag (when they used to do it that way). So unfair of someone to steal the code when someone else is buying the paper. Makes me wonder if it was a staff member as what member of the public is going to take a paper from the bottom of the pile to get a code. You would think they would just have a look at the top one. People never fail to amaze me! The extra codes were only for 10 points but the previous week if we gathered all 7 days they gave us an extra 100 points but I don't think they did that last week. I've asked hubby to take one from half way down now lol!"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."0
