Goen to get sticky......or is someone on their way ?
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 19th March. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in,put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two dailyt hreads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning Bargainbird and all who follow. Sunny here but cold will need to scrape car in a minute. Dog walked and fed and breakfast decluttered so off to school for me.
Have quilting class tonight so something to look forward to and get me through the day. Curry for dinner, DH will cook. Will do a bit of washing when I get home and swish and swipe shower room.

    Good Morning All

Bright but cold Monday here. Have a busy day planned, its my birthday tomorrow so am taking the day off but I really have got a lot to get through the rest of the week so need to be super duper organised.

Today - am dropping DD to station at 9.30 then popping into Asda for a few bits. Once home need to make a few phonecalls then tidy the house no housework has been done for days and it really is showing . Have a couple of hours of office work to do at least then ironing. Grilled pork chops with Aldi gratinated potatoes for dinner.

Kids both need picking up at different times tonight also.

Had a good day yesterday though got completely cold through at football, DS' team didn't win :( at least they got through to the final.

Gotta get going, have a good day all.x

    morning all!

frosty but nice and sunny here. I'm off to work soon - just having some coffee and toast. Second load in the WM. Have tidied through and done the spuds for tonight but the bedroom is in need of a vac - it'll have to wait.

Toad in the hole(veggie one for me) mash and petite pois for tea.
Jelly and evap milk for pud.

Still waiting to hear about SILs funeral. Had a nice visit from DS1 yesterday:) he brought me some flowers which is nice as he usually forgets.

Off to catch up on the end of yesterdays thread now.

Have a great day all x

    Good Morning Everyone!
Lovely bright day here and the frost is fast disappearing from the grass as I type. Need to get washing out to dry shortly, plus another load on. Am planning on a busy day, with a mixture of paperwork and housework to be done. Think I'll line the tasks up and set the timer for each one. Last time I had a "15minute" day I got through absolutely loads of things!
DG - so sorry about your friend
Taplady - glad you had your flowers! DS remembered to post my card in good time - apparently without being reminded!
Dundee Doll - ouch! I do sympathise about the car - I stupidly reversed(very slowly!) into another vehicle at our leisure centre last October. Very little obvious damage, but very expensive to put right. My cc account took a hefty knock on that occasion!
I do hope everyone has a good day today and send ((HUGS)) to all feeling unwell or sad. Take care.

    morning all

not a lot of os been happening here. ds had his hair cut on friday and it is has been spikey ever since :rotfl: he is so chuffed with it but it makes him look so grown up and not like my baby anymore! cant believe he is almost 3. time has flown by.

on saturday we collected our new car. i drove it which was fun considering i havent driven in a good 2 years and it is automatic :rotfl: its a lovely car though. ds loved it but when we drove off, he wanted his blue car back :rotfl:

then yesterday i spent the whole day in bed. struggling with sickness in a big way at the moment. nothing is staying put and i can feel i am getting de-hydrated. my head has been pounding, lips are dry and cracked. my eyes are bloodshot probably from being sick so much :o woke up feeling better this morning but then it started again :( it seems worse when my sugar levels are low ie first thing in the morning but nothing stays down so getting them up is difficult. going to give midwife a call and she what she suggests. all my muscles in my tummy and back have pulled...

other than that hubby has been doing housework and cooking etc.

DG - sorry to hear you sad news :(

hugs to who else needs them. have good day all

    Morning all,

Bright but cold here too, wm is just about to finish, so will get that on the line and another load in.

My dd made me a cake too, was not as professional looking as sistercass's (which was beautiful) but it tastes lovely :T, she also made me a homemade card, with the words:

'The best conversations with mothers always take place in silence when only in the heart'

:o bless her, bought a tear to my eye.

Cottage pie for dinner with loads of veg, need to do the usual clean through.

DG so sorry to hear about your friend

    Have goods days all xx

    Morning everyone,

Not been on for a few days as I have had trouble logging on to the forum but I seem to be ok this morning.

DG so sorry to hear about your friend.

    Hugs to LW and Molly.

Hope that you start feeling better soon Lou.

Dundeedoll sorry to hear about the car, I once came home from work and drove into a tree at the end of our drive that the council had planted while I had been out!

I had a lovely mothers day, it was very busy taking children here there and everywhere but I got some lovely thoughtful presents and the children were pleasant all day!

DD2's netball team won the league yesterday morning in a match that nearly didn't happen as it was snowing! I am so proud of her.

Today I have to go to the airport to collect a german girl who is coming to stay with us for 10 days on an exchange, DD1 is very excited and had arranged all kinds of things to do.

Tea tonight is curry made from LO chicken.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)
