Hi,
Just an update- I have replied to B'card asking them to either send the same info by way of statements or to clarify if i have ever been charged any 'cardholder payment protection' or similar.
They wouldn't/couldn't lie in reply to this could they?0 -
I rather suspected i had 'Cardholder payments protection' years ago with them you see but these pages of data do not help at all.
Having this confirmed would not, in itself, be reason to complain of course.
Remember, it's not simply having payment protection that is the issue. In order for it to be refunded, you have to be able to show that you were mis-sold the policy in the first place.
Should it be confirmed that you have had PPI "years ago", what reasons would you then give for complaining?
As for asking Barclaycard for "statements", these are individually very expensive and are not what a Subject Access Request provides.0 -
Thankfully, i am aware of this.Having this confirmed would not, in itself, be reason to complain of course.

Well, not that i should have to answer to you, being as, i suspect, you aren't 'Barclaycard', the reason is that i have never ever ever agreed to 'Cardholder repayment protection' cover or anything similar.Should it be confirmed that you have had PPI "years ago", what reasons would you then give for complaining?0 -
I don't work for any Bank, mate!Well, not that i should have to answer to you, being as, i suspect, you aren't 'Barclaycard',
I was just making sure you weren't thinking that simply having PPI was a reason for complaint! "Answering" to me, is simply talking to another PPI complainant.
As I said a few days ago(up the thread); if you know the account numbers of cards you have held then simply complain that you have never agreed to having PPI applied to them. If it subsequently transpires that you didn't have any such policies, the Bank will simply inform you of such in their "full and final response". It'll certainly save you time and effort in the meantime. Of course, if there were PPI policies, then you might even be awarded redress.

There are worse insults - although apart from being accused of working for an ambulance chaser I am hard pressed to think of one.0
