Ps2 £50 plus free eye toy

Southport Retail Park had 2 game guardians (97p) on Saturday evening. Some of the stuff recently bought for 47p at other stores had jumped up in price.
Sony Official DVD remote got one for 47p last week, now 7.49???
Mad Catz switchable RGB scart 4 into 1 got one for 47p, now 2.97???
Couldn't be bothered price checking other stuff, just walked out.

Asked at my local Currys 5 miles away if they had Ps2's , but I got the reply that they did have them but they were £95 :mad:

A Colleague rang up Customer Services today and asked if they had any "specials" on PS2's and was told no. So I assume they were no longer at £49?

In my experience, ignore Customer Services, go to Currys, take the product codes listed earlier on here and ask if they have any.

When they say no ask them to check locally. Best to ask at the checkout as you can see the screen as they check.

CS told me there were none in the NW, which was absolutely rubbish.

I've had rude SA as well as very pleasant helpful ones, treat them as you'd like to be treated, then cross your fingers!

I phoned customer service on Friday and after a long wait on the phone I was told the only shop that had any in the south east was the Currys near Wandsworth Bridge. Anyways, I made them reserve one for me and picked up after work :cool: .

I was however made to wait for 45mins because the manager couldn't believe the offer and wanted me to pay £104.99 - after a long arguement and in his quest to prove me wrong he scanned the box and £49.97 popped up - you should have seen the look on his face :rotfl: :rotfl:

I check all 3 currys in norwich today, 1 had some xploder cheat systems 9.97 one had a ps2 remote 7.97, one had the game guardian 9.97. spoke to a chap in the store with the xploder cheat system and he said that they were told to stop listing stuff as 47p and 97p as they were losing to much money. which kinda blows.

What would happen if you took an unopened Cheat System or Game Guardian back without a receipt that you had bought for 97p now that the price has gone back up.

Anyone know if there is any left of these package deals in the Birmingham area? Might try my luck and pop into a local Currys tomorrow, did go yesterday but forgot to take the codes with me and the sales guys looked puzzled and best offer was the console only for £94 and the package deal was about £115.

Managed to get the last one today in Currys Merry Hill, took the sku codes to a wondeful salesman who looked around the store for it and when he couldn't find it on display I mentioned that it might be round the back which he went and found....great guy top marks.

It was the black slimline one with the eyecam game, cant complain for under £50, thanks to the OP for this.

On his computer it was still showing that the Wolverhampton branch had 2 left, so good luck to anyone after one. Sku code is 756700

They're still out there if anyones after one. Went to the Currys in Torquay last night after I saw this thread, they had one in stock but couldn't find it anywhere. Asked for a local search and aswell as several showing at Newquay, one at Plymouth, one at Exeter Marsh Barton there where two at the Currys digital on Exeter highstreet. Got there today and picked myself up the last one (Buzz pack) , Controller was missing so they offered to knock off a few quid. Dunno about Currys customer service, but both the bloke last night and girl this afternoon were cool with me, girl today called me back after checking and held it back for me. If I didn't have a missus I'd of bought her a drink!

Good luck to anyone who's still looking, I didn't hold out much hope but it seems they're still out there if your not picky and don't mind jumping in the car.
