Yes, finally got some!

Got 3 from Bishops Stortford with singstar :j

I can tell you:

Reading have 1 each of the buzz bundles!

If after one, call a Currys digital and ask them to check other stores as they have access to countrywide!

The other poster was right, it is the old dixon stores that seem to have them as they are old stock!

Good luck as there are still loads out there!!!!

My sons PS2 has stopped working so after seeing this thread got rather excited about buying him a cheap replacement.
Went into my local Currys today, PS2 box on shelf ( yellow box, black slimline PS2 joystick no extras), no price on it, took it to the cashier, and she said £99!

I asked her if they had any others, after a quick check on her screen she said there was a bundle PS2 and Legend of "something" only £149.99:eek:

this is going to be a long winded read, so bare with me.

I phoned Aberystwyth Curry's, Carmarthen, Haverfordwest & Llanelli on sunday, neither 4 stores had heard anything of it....
Last night after reading about the SKU, my husband called into Curry's in Haverfordwest, the assistant put it in the comp, and the comp crashed and told my husband that it would probably crash on the rest of the SKU's. My husband started questioning him about the ps2 that were on offer with Curry's, the assistant had not heard anything about the offer..... :mad:

I then phoned Carmerthen, Aberystwyth, Haverfordwest and Llanelli on the offchance to see what they would say when I asked them to check the SKU code......

All of the Curry's told me they had completely sold out of all 3, appart from Llanelli (I managed to get one from there today)...... so I asked the other three how long had the offer been going on for, all three said it started last friday................. :mad: :mad: :mad:

So why tell me on sunday that they hadnt heard anything about a ps2 bundle deal???? something really fishy going on here...

Anyway, while I was picking mine up from Llanelli today, one of the staff came to the counter and started questioning the assistant about how may were left, he looked quite annoyed that I was having one.

Im so cuffed that Ive managed to get one, as Im not sure if my 12 year old daughter will have to go to hospital next week for an operation, so Ive put it away ready for when she comes home..........

Thank you to the person that stated the SKU code, otherwise I wouldnt have been able to get one for her... :beer: cheers mate xxx

Managed to pick one up today - could not believe my luck, I NEVER have any success with this sort of offers. Managed to get the bundle with Songstar. So very many thanks to the original poster.

Very helpful guy at Newton Abbot store said they had never had these packages at any price (it is a small store) but he looked on their system using the SKU code and it shows availability at Exeter HighSt and Plymouth. Torquay also showed as having stock but I went there first to be told "we don't have any - oh it must be the one on display which we can't let go and anyway there are bits missing" - oh yeah!!

:T I'm v.pleased and so is my daughter that I managed to get the Singstar package (SKU 590545) at Exeter HighSt store yesterday pm.

They still had one more out back and Plymouth still showed as having one - sorry don't know about Eyetoy or Buzz packages.

These offers are still out there but you have to be pushy in store and quote SKU codes .

Went to aberystwyth Currys yesterday and the staff member ( i think she was supervisor or manager, not sure) that served me was unhelpful to the point of being rude. Even though one of the other staff members got me a ps2 bundle pack from the back, the manager said she'd have to charge £104.97 for it because the bundle packs for the offer were out of stock! I pointed out that the other SA was actually holding a bundle pack in front of us but she said it was a diferent model. I'm quite sure that was all bullsh*t, and she seemed quite annoyed at the other SA for bring out the pack into view. I reckon they're holding on to them in the storeroom (and not on the shelves) so that the staff get to buy them for a further discount. I can't prove anything, but I'm 99% sure of it.

They can stick their PS3 pre-orders and HD TVs' where the sun don't shine lol...

:eek: What? Rude? In Currys? Surely not! :rotfl:

I think what's key to all of this is DO NOT CALL THE BRANCH. If they have one and you call, the chances are it'll be snapped up by the staff after a quick 'no, sorry, we've not got any in'. If you're standing by them it is much more difficult for them to do that. Although, as impster shows, not impossible!
