Just thought I'd share a nice suprise we had when we went to vauxhall yesterday to get a new car.
Not only are they offering 0% finance on their new cars they are putting in £750 towards the deposit, that's pretty good.
The one thing however that we didn't know until we got there is that vauxhall actually give substantial discounts if you or a family member work for a company on their list of companies they give discount to. My partner's mum works for waitrose and we got an extra grand off the car!!! Worthwhile thinking about if you are buying a new car. The list of the companies they give discount to is massive and covers most big organisations in the country.
Happy motoring!

In 8 months time when the car is worth half what you paid how good is their discount?0

yep, there is depreciation but I think half of what you pay is over exagerating a little. For me personally as I use the car for business and do a fair bit of travel the positives to owning a new car with a 100,000 mile warranty outweigh the negatives.0

Its like a furniture company offering 50% off
i read that as they are 50% overpriced and robbing you the rest of the time
of course if vauxhall said help keep elsemere port open for the future, buy our cars ,even though they are a bit dear it might help some choose a vauxhall0 -
I would check prices/discounts on the web before setting foot in the dealers to buy.
A friend in work thought she was getting a good deal on her new car until I showed her www.drivethedeal.com and they were £1k cheaper. She used this and the dealer matched the price.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Check https://www.motorpoint.co.uk for used Vx prices - 1yr old Insignias are selling for about half (or even less) their original price. Great bargains when buying second hand, but absolute disaster when buying new and your car depreciates £1200 per month.
Similar through network q. They will source a car and match that price.0 -
The reputation they have earned for Engine management faults has given them one of the highest depreciation losses of most of the general car makers.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
