This is why we call them parasites. I am sure the supermarket has no problem with customers dropping in whenever they need to buy something. It is the PPC which threatens to fine them if they come back to the shop within a set period. They are not furthering the supermarket's interests, only their own.0

Our local Tesco has now got the cameras working after about a year.
Now it's my turn to reverse in, exit forwards and then charge them.
Their "fines" are a civil debt and they should have to proove that you were the driver - not just the keeper & user which does not have to be the same as the owner
As above - call Tesco's customer service and tell them that you are now going to shop elsewhere and that you would like all your friends & followers (social networks) to know that0 -

A speculative invoice is not a debt, civil or otherwise, and even if they know who was driving they would still have to prove that the amount claimed represents damages, ie the amount the drivers actions cost them. Which in a free car park is zero.
As others have said, the "first in last out" scam is very well known.0 -

And on the subject of anpr cameras and data, i aggree and consenet to the fact that companies and government departments need to keep data on me, nd this can be benificial to me ( and to others) such as CCTV footage, photographic evidence, location tracking and recording via my phone and so on.
As i believe that if i have done nothing worng, then ive got nothing to hide.
This bit worries me the most, what are you on????Went shoplifting at the Disneystore today.
Got a huge Buzz out of it.0 -
Some people think that having Big Brother tracking their every move helps to protect them. That's another argument!
We just don't think it applies to Big Brother Parking Company....0 -

I didn't quite understand the bit where the OP said they were happy to have their phone calls tracked but then get upset that someone took photos of their car number plates!0 -

Check to see if that local Tesco has planning permission for those cameras, they often forget to ask for it (and it bites them on the bum when the council fines them), or check the planning permission to see if any limits to parking was set when it was built (if new store).
The local Tesco wanted to put up cameras limiting "customers" to 2 hours parking, however the landowner said no as they leased the land on the condition that Tesco would keep it available for the local shops.0 -

And what if you have to return something? Something frozen. "Yes, it's defrosted. But I had to wait an hour before I could bring it back."
Or, like I've had to do, after having a problem at the filling station, I had to go back into the store again, to visit the customer service desk. Maybe I should have left my car by the pump and walked back to the store, in order to comply with their regulations? After all, they can impose these and we don't condone breaking them. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
Who are "they"? I am sure that these "conditions" cannot be set by the landowner. Why would a shop want to impose a condition which prevented someone from being a customer?
However are they actually enforced? I have been in and out of car parks where this is an advertised condition but never been sent a charge, so I have to query whether it is really done. Unless someone knows different?0 -
If Op gets a charge which is quite likely as the PPC scammer will forget conveniently the first exit, and subsequent second entry, and aggregate the time, but surely as they have taken time to come on this forum, they aren't considering paying the scumbags? surely not0
