I doubt it. It is more cost and time for them to do this just for you. And without being critical, I can't see how it would help you. It doesn't give you more money to spend, and since most bills are (at least) monthly it gives you no room to move if some unexpected cost happens one week. You simply have to be disciplined about what you have available to spend, pay off your bills and debts first thing and then divide what you have left up to spend during the week - and don't dip in to future weeks money.0

that won't change the amount you get, fix the problem in other ways.

I think monthly pay should be done away with  yes, as people say, you should budget better, split the money between each week blah blah but when you know you have a big lump sum in your bank that can´t be touched theres always something that comes up that makes you have to break into the amount.
Having done payroll myself it was much easier for me to do the wages weekly than monthly as your doing it bit by bit rather than calculating monthly hours and doing it all at once.:j Comping wins: Gig tickets, Lovemydog tag, Country Livings Christmas fair tickets

Hi James, sounds like you are clutching at straws, get on to the debt forum and start sorting it out, the only reason to have weekly rather than monthly is that you feel better because you do not have as long to wait until more money comes in. Good luck0

You're telling me that doing it monthly took 4-5 times longer than doing it weekly? I very much doubt it and if it did you were inefficient. The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

I used to get paid weekly and I hate it! Totally impractical when your bills are monthly!
Every Friday I was sitting with. Calculator, rotting up how much I could spend and how much I had to put aside for DDs. Give me monthly anyway!0 -

Where did I say it takes 4-5 longer?? What I´m saying is that it was easier for me to do it weekly anyway and thats what I preferred.:j Comping wins: Gig tickets, Lovemydog tag, Country Livings Christmas fair tickets

From looking at your signature, it looks like you've relatively recently started at work? The few couple of months will be tough as you get used to the change in routine. It will get easier though.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Can you not get it paid in to a savings account with no DC, then set up weekly transfers to your current account? Just until you learn to budget better?jamess1982 wrote: »I'm in debt i earn a good wage but have struggled to cope with monthly pay no one is paid weekly at my firm. is there a chance HR or pay roll would consider putting my on weekly pay for a period of time??Life is short, smile while you still have teeth

If you are talking about variable hours per week pay then weekly is a way to go. However there is no reason why it can't be 4 Weekly as the supermarkets do in that situation. There is also no reason why you can't calculate the hours weekly but then issue the pay monthly.
Edit : I see pink princess suggested that earlier this afternoon! lol.
However monthly pay is perfectly alright for the rest of us (especially those who do standard hours office jobs) and can control our cash. Most of my bills are calculated monthly and I know how much I am spending on what.
OP needs some debt advice. If he doesn't want to do that how about this: get a second bank account and have the pay paid into that. Set up transfers once a week into your 'normal' account as if you were getting paid weekly.0
