Where did I say it takes 4-5 longer?? What I´m saying is that it was easier for me to do it weekly anyway and thats what I preferred.

You didn't but that was my point in that for you to do it weekly lets say takes 4 hours so in a month its taking 16-20 hours. Whereas if you do it once a month and it takes 6 hours then for the business this is far more efficient and cheaper.

I think monthly pay should be done away with  yes, as people say, you should budget better, split the money between each week blah blah but when you know you have a big lump sum in your bank that can´t be touched theres always something that comes up that makes you have to break into the amount.

Having done payroll myself it was much easier for me to do the wages weekly than monthly as your doing it bit by bit rather than calculating monthly hours and doing it all at once.
That's what time sheets and Excel is for. Weekly pay is more time consuming and would be easier if you are paid hourly to pay once a month like salaried staff.

Some employers, especially smaller ones, outsource their payroll to specialist companies. This obviously costs money. If pay was changed from monthly to weekly for one person, not only would it be totally impractical, but it would also incur additional costs.

Others have suggested a visit to more appropriate parts of the site. I would echo that, but also add that it can be easier to budget if all bills are paid from a separate account if you find budgeting difficult. I had a joint account with my ex (never again ) and he didn't think about direct debits before using his card. I set up a separate 'bills account'. Payday was the last day of the month. We had a standing order on the 1st of the month to transfer a set amount to the bills account. This was enough to cover the bills plus a few pounds extra (rounded up to the nearest £100). This meant that when direct debits were changed, we didn't have to rush into the bank to alter the standing order amount. It also meant that a small amount was saved each month, and every few months we had a bit of money to play with. It could, of course, be used to pay a bit extra towards debt repayments.
