Yes, and putting the isolator inn the outside fuse box is about the dumbasstest place to put it for reasons which the OP is now discovering. The meter tails should run inside the house and the isolator should be inside with the consumer unit.Some suppliers are now fitting isolator switches after the electricity meter. It saves calling out the electricity company to pull the fuse if you want to do work on the consumer unit (fuse box).
Mind you, once people cotton on to the fun with isolator switches, if you try and outwit them by moving the isolator indoors, they may start pulling supply fuses.You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -
