No I am definitely a cable user, have a cable modem, L 10 mbs line, we were the first in our road to sign up, to Telewest, eons ago, long since out of contract.0

I'm slightly confused by the OP's situation as well as mine re termination/diconnection fees.
I'm with Virgin Media's National service (BT line) and now outside their 12mth contract. Now I've got the MAC code and now requested the transfer to Orange.
Questions...
- Would I be charge this "disconnection" or any termination charge?
- Do I need to give a 30-days notice even if I am outside the 12 mth contract?
I've read the T&C several times but it's not very clear...0 -
If you are not in minimum term contract and migrate with a MAC from Virgin National then there should be no cease charge or ETC.
Yes, you do need to give 30 days notice, as you are now on a 30 day rolling contract. No free lunch, and no free laptop
