Does he already do loads of walking? If not how about a foot care hamper with blister plasters, cooling/refreshing foot spray, peppermint foot lotion type of thing all in travel sized containers. I have had some of these sorts of things from avon and the body shop in the past and they really do make sore feet feel better. He might have all the gear ie boots, proper supportive socks (and these do make a difference) but he might not have thought he will need that sort of thing. Walking in boots day in day out is different even to doing proper walks at the weekend.

Great Idea, wish I'd thought of that. Might steal this for the next family trekking adventure :cool:

P.S. As a gift as it's unikely to be me, the race for life or camping is as adventurous as I get!
