Digital Switchover

I have TV and PVR and think both will need to have channels re-set when the switchover happens here on 4 April. I'll be away at that time (and will have set some programmes to record), but a neighbour has kindly offered to re-tune for me. I'm not sure whether I should ask him to do TV first, then the PVR or vice versa - or whether it makes no difference!

Would welcome any advice. Thanks.

Its the PVR that will need retuning if you want record stuff whilst you are away. Dunno if you need to reset the programmes to be recorded after a retune.

The TV can wait til you return.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

And don't forget the second half of DSO on 18 April - when another retune will be required.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
  • Thanks, both! And I'll be back from hols by 18th, Heinz, so will do the last bit myself.

My old Freeview PVR would delete all pending recordings if it was retuned, you might want to check.

After a retune you will need to reset all recordings.
