Eh, what the heck, I used all my guesses and since I'm not someone with multiple accounts I can't try again, but I'm not sure how helpful mine will be-

Googled "floating lava rocks" and got some place near Hawaii (sorry, don't remember name atm... began with T and was rather short), and a volcano on Hawaii that began with K on the south east of the island. I tried the T-name first, and it said I was on the wrong side of the world and to go east. Tried in Polynesia, further east of the other two markers, don't remember the message it gave. So I randomly put a marker near Brazil, and it said to go south-west. Tried Hawaii, it said to go east again! So I dumped my last marker on Easter Island and it was wrong, but since it was my last guess I didn't get info about direction or closeness.

If anyone works out the clue let us know, I'm curious how it works in more than where the place actually is!

i tried all similar places as above and got very confused with where is was sending me - east then west, so don't have much of a clue, sorry

ETA: i also tried greece and it wasn't there, don't think that's been mentioned yet!

tried chile and it said try the other side of the world -north east.
tried japan and it said try the other side of the world- west.

this so hard lol. Right these were my guesses jope they help someome:

1) southern most point of cuba

it then said go to the other side of the world in an east direction so I scrolled across to


2) Hi off the coast of Mexico

nope again this time it said look east on the other side of the world so I calculated half a world away in miles to approx: 12453 and ended up in:

3) New Zealand south island

nope again now it says to look West other side of the world err just been there and you said no' I then scrolled across what I thought was north West and ended uo in

4) Somalia

I was crap at geography at school and it's got worse in the many years since but the clues are utter rubbish and I don't have any more guesses left.

Ive just had a go and it said 'are you the closest'??????????

By the way i tried - tenerife, mochengladbach, and kollunpur (india) first one said east, second said south east and third said other side of the world..
My fourth one is when it said that at the top?
Find out tomorrow.

I'm going to be no help I'm afraid! Tried the east coast of America and was told to go east so tried Ireland and was told it was thousands of miles away!

From Google I read, "Then cruise the volcanic Aeolian archipelago north of Sicily, named after the Greek demigod of wind Aeolus"

I tried Sicily and it said close but go North.

When it says the other side of the world, I don't think it has to literally be the other side-when it first said that for me I dumped my marker a small bit to the left, but it was over a dotted line, and the message wasn't there the next time. (This is just what I remember though, half a world is pretty big)

I got 'you are in the right area' twice, but I have used up my guesses for today. I think where I was closest was in a small group of islands just above sicily - on the west side of the islands. Wish it was me, but failing that, hope it's one of you guys. Fun comp. :cool:

I got "I'm almost touching try north east" on the Island of Filicudi (To the west of Lipari and Maifa) in the Island group mentioned by Blulu. Ran out of goes now .
