Although an alpha build and not updated since 2009, this worked fine for me on XP with IE8.

Yeah, Firefox with Ad Block Plus. Don't bother with IE.

but if you really, really insist on using IE, try this:

My apologies. Try this:

In all those results, which of those sites and opinions should they trust?
I'm sure the Op is quite capable of using a search engine, but they have come to this forum, where they probably feel they can trust the opinions of the members rather than some random poster on a random site plucked from Google.0 -
I was hoping for a recommendation not a link to google, which I am well able to do myself.
I am currently using AdFender which does not work very well.
I have blocked third party cookies but still get plagued with e.g. adjug.com"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

I find Simple Adblock works well. Unlimited use isn't free though.Error! - Keyboard not attached. Press any key to continue.0

I use Vista and IE 9. The installation looks a tad complicated for a luddite.
PS: I have to use IE for remote linking to my employer's server."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

The easiest method is to download and extract the zip file, then simply run the .bat file as administrator.

It's quite straightforward.0
