I have a £4500 O/D limit on my current account, I arranged it years ago when I was buying a car and as I don't get charged a fee and only pay peanuts in interest if I use it I have left it in place. The most I have gone O/D in the last few years in maybe £200.

£300 limit. Went close to the edge a few weeks ago when I booked a holiday and my payments were delayed. Now very definitely back in the black and hope to stay there!

£400 on HSBC and £100 on Halifax

Never touched the HSBC one, used the Halifax one once when my balance was low and an unexpected debit came out

£600, rarely used. Arranged when I opened the account and haven't felt the need to get it altered in the last seven years.

Zero. Never used one or had the need for one.
  • £300 - this month am £850 overdrawn

have taken steps to remedy this however, have opened an Alliance & Leicester account and am going to do the 'piggy bank' system. Also been accepted for an 'egg money' card to pay off overdraft. Also starting process to reclaim my bank charges.

And more importantly, and more crucially, am going to start meal planning (am going to invest in a slow cooker!), and just be a hell of a lot more frugal!

    Wish me luck!
