Too late. I've got my out. Just been called. Looks like she's had a change of plan, "the rain washed off the damage" so she's going to forget about it.
Oh, I'm still meant to tell me insurers? Yeah right, that's going to happen.0 -

Aren't you a charmer?

Didn't mean just been called as in right now. Wow aren't you the detective. She called me just before I deleted my posts as they no longer hold any relevance any more, which was around 9pm. WOW very late isn't it. Considering the silly cow called me at 7am the other day, I'm not really bothered by a late call, are you?
Anyway to the point, looks like the idiot has decided to drop her "argument". The damage had been wiped off previously, and anyway, if by the offchance I saw her car again, I would have wiped off the marks with a cloth. What ya ganna do? Arrest me for cleaning a mark off a car.
Seriously, she's done the right thing. Morale of the story, if there's a mark, try and wipe it off, save everyone the hassle. Don't be so uptight about a little mark, maybe next time you'll be faced with some real damage.0 -

Bye.
Yeah I know. In this day and age, somebody actually used their sense and saved a claim on insurance, and possibly their own insurance rising as well. Jesus, this is like the claim nation, no wonder everyone's policies are so high.0 -

I'll tell you now, if anyone other than my valeter "wiped" anything anywhere near any of my cars, they'd have more than a mark to worry about.Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.

Says the person with a "valeter", and more than 1000 posts on an online forum. I'm sure any future "wipers" will be running scared.
But on a serious note, if you accused me of marking your paintwork and wanted to take the car for an expensive repair, and I thought the mark would just wipe off and would become un-noticeable and back to it's previous condition, the first thing I would do would be to ask you if I could try and wipe it off. If the answer was no, then your an idiot and I would do it anyway.
999 "What's your emergency"
Erm somebody has wiped a mark off my car so the paintwork is clean.

Just a word of wArning. If she contacted her insurance they will have your details even if no claim was formally put in. So your insurance may well find out anyway.
