Google is your friend, use it.

You've not thanked one poster in this thread, not that it is necessary, but you are demanding help and not even posting a thank you. So, go help yourself.

    That's not deliberate.

All I get from google is the whocallsme.com site. I know who's calling me!

What is the problem exactly. Are you not able to get in contact - the number I gave above is the one I have in my phone as "Vanquis Call Centre" and it does work.

Looks like someone has accidentally (or, perhaps, deliberately) registered an incorrect (your) mobile phone number with them.

There's a list of Vanquis contact numbers at http://www.saynoto0870.com/search.php. Just do a search on Vanquis. Unfortunately many of them seem be out of date or only offer an automated service.

There's also a contact postal address listed at the bottom of their home page: http://www.vanquis.co.uk/. Using that might be a better option.

I keep receiving letters saying I am eligible and pre-approved for a credit card, I responded to one... and was REJECTED, via email not even via the post. Even after this they still send letters with pre-approved application forms.

I'be spoken to them twice now and told them I don't have a card and even gave them my name, to which they confirmed I wasn't that person.

They're still bloody ringing me though

  • Why not change your mobile number? I believe it's free to do so if you explain you're getting nuisance/malicious communications.

And before anyone challenges why you should have to change your number in these circumstances - If you have a problem why not simply remove the cause.....

    Are u having a giraffe??
I've had this number since 2006, the only time I'd change it is if someone kept threatening to kill me numerous times.

If you have a complaint against the company and have been unable to get it sorted by phone then they best thing to do is write to them.

Their address is clearly shown on their website.

Possibly if that still doesn't work you might be able to do a formal notice under section 10 notice of the data protection act - although I'm not 100% certain it would be relevant as you don't actually hold an account with them. So I would try just a simple complaint to start.
