vanquis harrasment

I keep getting texts and automated phonecalls from a credit card company for a card I've never had.

How do I stop them?

What is the nature of these calls and texts? If you give us some idea, we might be able to help you.

    At a guess...

It could be that they've mixed up a couple of digits in a phone number and got your number by mistake. It could be that someone has opened up a fraudulent card in your name.

+447786200608: Vanquis missed payment of £65.97. Reply PAY + 3 digit security no. from back of debit card ending 6388 to pay £65.97 e.g. "PAY 123". Network rates vary

phone them. If you get through to the right person Vanquis can actually be quite reasonable. The other half of the time their phone system "won't be working", you'll get through to someone who insists you phone another premium rate number, or they'll try to sell you something.

Just rang their 0870 number and none of the options apply to me, and didn't give me an option to speak to customer services, just insisted on repeating itself instead.

Just keep putting in a fake number (write 5 16 times). It may help you get through to an operator.

Google is your friend, use it.
