The colour of the bathroom wouldn't really bother me, as long as it's clean and smells fresh. Something like blood red or navy might make me go 'urgh', but it's not a lot of money to paint a bathroom - it's not like you've done the whole house in black gloss.

Wouldn't be my first choice of colour now, but have had blue tiles in a previous bathroom and they looked very nice. When we were selling a house back in 2007 our main family bathroom had Laura Ashley raspberry coloured walls (mmmmmmm ;)) and our EA told us we should neutralise to appeal to more buyers......so we took his advice and went for a beigy colour. Our buyers on being told of this said they wished we'd kept the raspberry and had every intention of redecorating in that colour after completion......blooming agents, eh :o

I'd have no problem with a blue bathroom. But then our two are both painted very pale aqua blue, decorated with a lighthouse, beach hut and boats theme. If I was selling, I certainly wouldn't change it.

Talking of black gloss I've seen a bathroom in a very grand house that has black tiles with gold edges around the bottom walls, and cream on top. Sounds terribly chavvy and flashy but it actually looks very rich and classy believe it or not! Some of these bold colours are all coming back into fashion now!

I don't like blue rooms generally as they feel cold so I go peachy warm all the way!

My great grandfather did turn down a flat because of a blue bathroom. He's a bit odd though - also joined an internet dating site to find love and turned one woman down because when he drove past her house there was a white transit van parked on the drive.

In his case it's because he was at sea for years and now can't stand the colour blue because it reminds him of being back at work!

I'd join the "depends" crew - heck - our bathroom still has a green bathroom suite in it, it works ok in the context of the room so it's a low priority to get changed and didn't put us off the house at all.

Neutralise it - majority of buyers will not lift a paint brush and less like blue than neutral colour ... depends how quickly you want to sell ... Agents make comments for a reason - they sell houses every day - do you ...

I do like a blue room and I don't think it's gonna impact greatly on the saleability on the house. If they find it's too blue, dress the bathroom with white / cream or light colours items.

Our soon to have new house ( hopefully ) have a room that is a bit garish but it didn't put us of. Afterall, no biggie ... a lick of paint will do

I dislike blue bathrooms, in fact I dislike any room decorated in blue as I find it a very cold & unwelcoming colour. However, it wouldn't put me off of buying a property to find rooms had been painted blue. As long as the property has a good feel, I'm happy to buy my own selection of paint to decorate with once I move in.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

I like a blue room, particularly a bathroom.

I think sometimes people are too quick to recommend changes in order to sell. Yes, some things need doing but I think that other things you should only think about if you have difficulties selling and then need to re-assess.
